Every week, I drive my son to chess practice. They start with game scenarios on a big board and then they play mini tournaments. Sometimes a parent has to fill a slot at a table. I really recommend trying it. It's good for one's self image to play a "brain game" and get crushed by a nine year old.

It’s a sunbonnet- suits the theme of the conference - SQL beach party.
Last minute preparation for my presentation at SeaQL tomorrow. Got this amazing hat from Tonie and Peter just now.
Went for a run. Got back home at leet o’clock. That’s gotta mean something. #runhappy
Trying to get into running again. It ain’t easier this year.
I ended up in Hanau, Germany yesterday. It's a bit surprising really, given that I gave @frankgeisler.bsky.social the wrong pickup location at Frankfurt airport. But he persisted and finally found me and brought me here. Spending the day learning more about SQL 2025 from Magi Naumova.
I think we’re done.
It’s that day again. A couple days earlier this year than usual.
Suzanne Ahlkvist was born March 13 1950. She has been important to so many people. Daughter, sister, mother, grand mother, great grand mother, friend, neighbour and community leader. She has been my mother for 49 years. Yesterday evening, her body finally gave up after fighting cancer a long time.
There are btw dogs here too. One Jack Russel and one Aussie. Both very social. The Aussie comes and puts her paws on my lap when I’m in meetings. Not my dogs but in the office, every dog is everyone’s dog :)
Sheffield Wednesday loose 12 points and go into administration. Sounds horrible, right? Yet a lot of fellow supporters are today celebrating. Ticket sales up, merch sales up. That’s how much the fans love the owner…
Administration is not the tragedy. What lead us here is. From here it can only get better.
I have my own office five minutes from home. I have my own chair, my own monitor etc. And there’s people there that I can socialise with during lunch or coffee break. But these other people work for other companies, in other industries so it’s purely social. Client office once per two weeks.
This isn’t exactly how I wanted this day to start. If I have the recovery key saved in my Microsoft Account? Absolutely not.
Getting ready for my presentation at #SqlDayLite2025
There will be more meetups from Stockholm SQL. Perhaps you’re in the neighbourhood on a future date :)
Japp, du behöver vara medlem i Stockholm SQL-meetupen. Det enda du kommer få från den är inbjudningar till SQL-events. Alla andra notifieringar från Meetup kan du muta :)
It’s enough to be interested in learning SQL :)
More details about the evening will come. I would absolutely love it if you made the trip. If not this time, maybe to another upcoming Stockholm SQL Meetup. I aim at a once per month cadence for the group.
We will have someone at the door to let people in.
You can choose if you want to go to Wallingatan 2 or Wallingatan 2. We are all for freedom of choice.
Stockholm SQL is born. We will have our inaugural event on November 11 in the B3 office on Wallingatan.
RSVP on meetup: www.meetup.com/stockholm-sq...
Thanks @dhma.ch for speaking this night!
They came with the room and serve as sun blockers, not decoration :)
If they turn out to be insufficient on a sunny day, I will install proper blinds and remove the curtains. I never understood the idea behind curtains anyway. They are always good at collecting dust but often not very decorative.
This one is not technically decoration, I use it for rubber duck debug.
There will be more decorations. But these are the important ones. The robot from Techorama, the Damon data monster and the pink Xmas tree :)
New Transmokopter SQL AB head quarters. I moved furniture during the weekend, now waiting for ISP to activate my fiber connection.
Oslo is raining on me but it’s OK. Gonna stay inside and heckle @dhma.ch all day anyway.
