The last time I "did my own research" on this question, I made this graph.
They want to track autism, miscarriages, abortion, birth control use but don’t want to track measles, bird flu, Covid or salmonella.
Ask yourselves why that is. They’re setting the stage to blame people for their disabilities. To slate them for elimination.
It’s eugenics & it’s escalating.
Note the ableds who are so sure that help exists, are never willing to provide it themselves.
They will gaslight, dismiss, blame and insinuate that we are simply unwilling or unable to find the help, while simultaneously being unwilling to provide any assistance.
Ableism. It's everywhere.
Disabled people: "Can we get more support live independently? A living wage? Access to qualified homecare?"
Society: "No you just have to try harder. The help is there."
Us: "I can't make this work I need help"
Them: "Time to go into a home!"
Institutionalizing us is NOT the answer
I do genuinely wonder how many people think what happened with Wikipedia is that “society accepted it” rather than that they put a ton of work into making it reliable, something that is not going to make AI reliable because no technology to actually understand meaning has been or can be invented.
Their privacy policies allow them to transfer your sensitive data in the event of a sale or bankruptcy - including your generic information.
Without knowing who will buy them or what they will use this information for, this is a huge vulnerability for the user base.
23 & Me has just declared bankruptcy.
If the company has your DNA and data, consider deleting it as soon as you're able.
