It’s official: RFK Jr has officially reduced recommended childhood vaccines from 17 to 11, removing universal vaccine recommendations for RSV, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, dengue and two types of bacterial meningitis.

This reckless contravention of science is going to kill people.

You did all the hard work of planning. It was the trip of a lifetime for all of us. And at just the right time, before everything went wonky.

AI-driven multi-omics modeling of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome - Nature Medicine Analysis of a deeply phenotyped, longitudinal cohort of 249 participants elucidates the network of concurrent molecular and macroscopic patterns related to insurgence and course of ME/CFS.

Multi-omics with A.I. analytics demonstrates critical role of the gut microbiome and immune response and enables accurate diagnosis of ME/CFS, may also be applicable to Long Covid.

A friend of my compared gutting of federal agencies to a wrecking a car: if you remove 30% of the parts of the car, it does not go 30% slower. It stops working.

M dashes (the long dash) are a dead giveaway. LLMs love using them for some reason, while actual human beings have no idea how to type that into the computer.
They also love sets of three, overtly parallel structure, and impersonal writing.

Many get that the Trump gang is accelerating climate chaos.

Folks absolutely 100% do not get how much worse that crisis will be for them now with this combination of defunding climate science, gutting disaster responses and demolishing even our limited steps towards ruggedizing key infrastructures.

They are sending roving bands of masked thugs with the stated goal of kidnapping 20 million brown people to transport them to any country they can pay to take them. All this has been cleared by The Stolen Court.

This is not deportation.

This is ethnic cleansing.

Long-term neurological and cognitive impact of COVID-19: a systematic review and meta-analysis in over 4 million patients - BMC Neurology Background Neuropsychiatric symptoms emerged early in the COVID-19 pandemic as a key feature of the virus, with research confirming a range of neuropsychiatric manifestations linked to acute SARS-CoV-...

What struck me about this paper was not just the very high prevalence of cognitive impairment and memory issues as sequelae of infection, but also that the population effects of such high rates of cognitive dysfunction must be changing society itself.

quote on a dark blue and purple background from Sudip S. Parikh, CEO of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), criticizing proposed cuts to science funding in the FY26 U.S. federal budget. The quote reads:

“If enacted, the FY26 budget request would end America’s global scientific leadership. The cuts to science would imperil our nation’s future health, security and prosperity. This budget proposal stands in stark contrast to the President’s call for a renewed commitment to American scientific leadership. Congress has demonstrated a bipartisan commitment to investment in research and must do so again to answer the President’s call.”
The quote is attributed to Sudip S. Parikh, CEO of AAAS and Executive Publisher of the Science family of journals. The AAAS logo appears at the bottom right.

I don't think anyone outside of universities, pharma and biotech, independent research institutions have any idea of what is happening right now. If you haven't sounded the alarm among your friends, family and colleagues, now is the time to do it.

Trump's bill advances in rare weekend vote as House conservatives negotiate changes Republicans advanced their massive tax cut and border security package out of a key House committee during a rare Sunday night vote as deficit hawks allowed it to move forward.

🚨 They just advanced the Republicans’ reconciliation bill through the Budget Committee.

This bill guts healthcare, scientific breakthroughs, and a livable future to fund tax cuts for billionaires.

We need pressure NOW. More on this to come - stay tuned.

The next president has to do two things: 1) right the wrongs of Trump and go after those who broke the law and were corrupt. 2). Then spend time divesting power from the presidency and building real guardrails and passing laws like, “the president is not immune” etc.

And get the money out
