We owe each other a country where at least the things that two-thirds of Americans can agree on actually get done. When something is broken in this country, we have to do what it takes to fix it.
Thank you, Tulsa, for the warm welcome back - and for showing us what a better future looks like.

However you've lined up politically in the past, if you're worried about where our country is headed, you belong in this conversation.
Here are my full opening remarks from last night in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thankful to the people of Oklahoma for such a warm welcome back.
Don't let anyone tell you that an area is too red or too far out of reach for our message.
Just look at how many people turned out on a Saturday night in April, in a gym in Oklahoma.
Many people are asking, so here’s my “why.”
Thank you, Kansas Democrats, for an inspiring Friday evening together.
When he launched this war, the President vowed regime change and “unconditional surrender.”
What has he gotten? We went from Ayatollah Khamenei to Ayatollah Khameini Jr. - and are now negotiating over a 10-point plan written by the Iranians.
Congratulations to the astronauts and to all involved in the Artemis II mission. Amazing and inspiring to see their historic journey and safe return to Earth.
Let’s be serious: the people in charge of this administration are not interested in merit.
They've overruled the merit process to block the promotion of Black military officers - and lavish favors on people who can pay dues at Trump's private clubs or write big checks to his ballroom project.
Rev. Al Sharpton founded the National Action Network in 1991. More than three decades later, the fight for dignity, opportunity, and justice has taken new forms, and the work is more important than ever.
Thank you, Reverend, for convening us and for hosting today’s fireside chat at #NANCONV2026.
The president’s number one promise was to drive inflation down.
Instead, he drove it up.
Inflation has tripled from just one month ago, and it’s higher than when he took office. Not only has Trump failed to deliver on his central campaign promise to make life more affordable - he is actively, directly driving prices up.
Looking forward to being back in Tulsa on April 18th for our next town hall. If you’re in the area, I hope you’ll join us.
Wherever I travel across the country, I find myself in conversation with people who show up with meaningful and practical things to say about their lives, their neighbors, and where we’re headed as a country.
Regardless of whether it’s all talk, when the leader of our country expresses plainly genocidal intent, everyone has to do something.
For citizens of all political stripes, it means rejecting this madness. For Congress, it means taking action to rein him in. Now.
Happy Easter! As Christians worldwide celebrate the Resurrection today, may all feel renewed in a sense of joy and hope.
Trump’s new budget adds an extra $500 billion to fund wars abroad — about $3,700 more for every household in America — while cutting health, jobs, housing, and education.
Put simply, it takes more of your money for foreign wars, while making life in America even more unaffordable.
Trump’s 2027 budget requests $1.5 trillion for military spending. What it cuts: $234 million from worker protection agency funding $82 million from the USDA Rural Business Service $1.6 billion from the NOAA, which monitors natural disasters $354 million from minority-serving institutions like HBCUs $5 billion from NIH funding $1.3 billion from FEMA grants $40 million from the DHS Office of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction $2 billion from humanitarian assistance funding $3.4 billion from NASA science and research programs Fully eliminates the HUD Community Development Block Grant program Fully eliminates HUD’s Fair Housing Initiatives Program Fully eliminates Job Corps Fully eliminates the Food for Peace program Fully eliminates LIHEAP, which helps struggling families with energy bills and energy crises Fully eliminates multiple SBA Entrepreneurial Development Programs

Chag Sameach to all those observing Passover. Wishing joy and community to everyone celebrating the holiday and gathering over tonight's seder.
Trump wants you to believe he’s more powerful than he is - and that you have less power than you do.
Tomorrow, millions of Americans will gather to remind one another where power actually resides in this democracy: with us, the people.
While the President sends more American troops to the Middle East, the price of everything - groceries, gas, mortgages - keeps rising.
Let’s be clear: we are worse off today, and no safer, than before this unnecessary war began.
As we head into the fourth week of the Iran war, the American people - and our troops - deserve clear, accountable, and honest leadership.
We're getting the opposite.
I'll keep traveling the country this year to make myself useful, wherever I can, to help build a winning coalition for the coming midterm elections.
It’s amateur hour for the politicians at the Pentagon and White House in charge of this war.
This is not a video game. And there is absolutely no excuse for the Trump operation to dishonor this nation by raising campaign money off the images of our war dead.
This is a very conservative area, but there is a new kind of coalition to be built, and there is no such thing as a permanently red district.
There’s great energy and enthusiasm on the ground for this campaign. Shawn is demonstrating what it looks like when we show up, lead with our values, and compete for every vote.
Donald Trump is generally more interested in crowd sizes than I am. Still, I couldn’t help but notice that our event yesterday for Shawn Harris was a bit larger than when Trump visited this same district a few weeks ago.
Loved being back in Ohio to spend time with leaders who are firmly focused on building a better future.
Praying for Michigan’s Jewish community and grateful for the quick work of first responders and law enforcement during today’s attack. While we wait for more information, one thing is clear: antisemitism anywhere must be confronted and stopped.
@petebuttigieg.bsky.social knows what it means to be grounded in the community you serve.
I’m glad to have him with me in this fight to make life better for working families.
Thank you to Mayor Woodfin and the people of Birmingham for welcoming me and sharing your concern and stories. Conversations like these - offline, in real life - are vital for understanding our moment and for building hope.
