I'd like to propose the following norm for peer review of papers. If a paper shows clear signs of LLM-generated errors that were not detected by the author, the paper should be immediately rejected. My reasoning: 1/ #ResearchIntegrity

Screenshot of Matt Yglesias post on twitter: "Mamdani winning badly refutes one of my main priors — that the candidate who is leading in the polls usually wins — but to refute my view that his main ideas are bad, he would need to actually govern successfully. And I sincerely hope he does — we’ll see what happens."
He admits we was wrong about the polls.
Frustrated with consistently being interested in a cited reference and it being completely unrelated to the claim. T.T
📢 The 2nd AgML Workshop will be held at @ufz.de Leipzig from November 3–5th! Let's bring together researchers and practitioners in agriculture and machine learning to share knowledge & create open benchmark datasets and model evaluation protocols.
Register by July 31: events.hifis.net/e/agml2025
📢 Tomorrow (27th May) at 16:00 CET, join our next online seminar on knowledge-guided machine learning for crop growth modelling! We will be hearing from Jingye Han, a researcher at Wageningen University. Open to all - get in touch for the Zoom link or join the AgML mailing list.
Description of the fellowship offer (to be found on the linked website)
The @ufz.de is currently offering funded fellowships for international researchers willing to visit and collaborate with us. I'm involved in this one, with a focus on "Socio-Environmental Modelling of Land and Water Systems": recruitingapp-5128.de.umantis.com/Vacancies/32...
📢 Today at 16:00 CET: Vasileios Sitokonstantinou presents research on invariant (causal) learning for robust yield predictions, kicking off our monthly seminar series on AI for agricultural research & modelling. Reach out for Zoom link, mailing list members will receive it by email. See you there!
If you, like us, think that these kinds of community activity are needed, we warmly invite you to get involved in AgML. So far, we've created benchmark datasets, organised a workshop, Kaggle competition and there's so much more we'd like to do - join our mailing list: mail.agml.org/mailman/list...
Great work by @lilybellesweet.bsky.social and AgML collaborators. Check it out!

Also had a great time meeting the AgML people at CIMMYT for #AgMIP10! Great team that will hopefully expand after meeting so many people and different problems at the event for @agmip.bsky.social .

Eu tentei withdraw um artigo antes de começar o processo editorial. A única opção era email. Três emails e o artigo foi pra revisão. :)
