And then I wrote a blog about mindful moments in which sitting in nature has enabled me to detach from the shenanigans going on in the world. open.substack.com/pub/georgina...

Yesterday and today was not only about spotting frogs as but newts too. Water quality must be good as they seem to be thriving happily in our pond.

Totally agree. War is such an archaic way of solving an argument. Causing harm to others is an astonishingly outdated ethos. It shouldn’t be peace at any cost but come on there are better ways.

Enjoyed playing spot-the-frog this morning as they sat on the bottom of the pond. This is probably about 3 feet deep. I counted 8 frogs just sitting in the sunshine. Whether they were actually sunbathing or not I wouldn’t be able to tell. Such a a joy seeing them though.

I’m writing about how stories connect us to each other. Annoying thing is that my mind has gone blank when trying to think of any stories that prove that stories matter. I’ve got loads to say but I need the personal touch to demonstrate why I believe what I believe. Time for a walk then.

What a magnificent creature. I just love the colours and patterns on those feathers. Stunning. Would make a fabulous textile design.

Celtic Knot tree.

On my walk today I ended up on one of my favourite mountain roads. A quiet narrow lane that is surrounded by ancient lichen encrusted thorn trees. They feel like they have been there since the Stone Age. Magical.

Reflections in the sunshine, spring beckons and new ideas are budding. The sun is glorious again today.

I've just realised today's blog started with talking about blue skies and hope. Go figure! I've been seriously pondering where and how I want to show up online especially as I have so much that I want to do. I'd appreciate it if you let me know what you think! open.substack.com/pub/georgina...

With all of the craziness in the world I can’t help feeling that more than ever is imperative we stand for individual sovereignty, autonomy, universal tolerance, acceptance of our beautiful differences and above all love.

The question is what if you don’t? What are those small business owners going to be missing out on? In my view community is everything in inspiring business owners to thrive and enjoy the rich soils of a healthy community culture. What is not to love about that? What have you got to lose? 😄

I didn’t even know that this was a thing. Now I need to know more about this practice. I’ve so many things that I want to do that I’m happy to strive for immortality.

Both are pretty good. I like the contrast of the darker green but the gold says Angels more than the green to me.

The trouble with being a book addict & having such a huge collection of books is that it is nearly impossible to let go of any. Each you pick up you either fall in love all over again or curiosity makes you want to investigate the unknowns further. There are so few that can fly free from my clutches

The last couple sentences left me flummoxed. I had to reread the opening pages for it to truly land. In my opinion… There was a missed opportunity to add more depth and meaning to the conclusion even circling back to remind the reader of the opening premise that sets the scene for the whole story.

Just finished reading Karen Lord’s book The Best of all Possible Worlds. It took me a while to bond with the voice of the lead character but reading about the author helped. Whilst an enjoyable read, for me it left too many unanswered questions about the various side stories within it.

It’s always a tussle between decluttering the house & dedicating time to writing & my art. I need the space to think but I also need to commit to achieving certain goals with my creative work. Then there’s the bus… but then if there were more hours in the day I’d probably add more to the list

Wait? What? 585 followers? And I haven’t even started yet.
Huge thank you to YOU
I am in the process of summarising what I’m likely to write about. I’m hoping that putting that into a pinned post will help people decide whether I’ve got anything pertinent or entertaining to offer.

Audio books is just another way to consume the written word Listening to a great reader who sometimes happens to be the author can bring the book alive far better than my imagination. I listen to a lot as I work on things that don’t require my brain power. Yes there’s nothing like reading for real
