I hope for the best for you, whatever path you choose. Also, I would read your fiction.

Would a possible path be to not put yourself out there as much? Not in your writing, but rather not staying as accessible as you are now. You seem out there in a way that not many people are. I know you've probably helped many people that way. But it sounds like that's the sore point.

Many of your articles are timeless, and can help people now just as well as when they were written. I will miss reading new work, but I sincerely hope you'll take care of it and family first. Even if that means stepping away. I do hope your writing remains available though.

Trump signed an executive order that tries to write trans people out of existence today.

It's mostly symbolic.

Trans women don't want to be told that we're "valid," we want to be told that you left your entire estate to us at the reading of your will, while your terrible husband and ungrateful children cry and scream threats at us.

If you see me talking down a specific attempt at self defence where people have tried to protect themselves from real acts of violence you can go and call me a hypocrite. But I haven't done that and won't be doing that. I've stood against people posturing about the real attack on a real trans woman.
