'We are a family' ... How Link Jarrett and Seminole Baseball brought FSU's campus back together By opening his field and his heart to the FSU community, Seminoles baseball coach Link Jarrett helped the Seminoles heal on Tuesday

Thanks in large part to Link Jarrett and his baseball team, the FSU community found a little bit of normalcy -- and a whole lot of love -- Tuesday night at Mike Martin Field.

FSU great Sherman Johnson reflects on journey back to big leagues ... now as a coach Former FSU baseball star Sherman Johnson played 11 years of pro baseball, and now he's back in Major League Baseball as a coach

During his 11-year pro career, FSU great Sherman Johnson spent a few weeks in the majors w/the Angels.

Today, on Opening Day, he is back in the bigs as the Baltimore Orioles’ assistant hitting coach.

I caught up w/ Sherman recently to discuss his journey back to MLB.

Can’t believe they just leave these precious gems out in the open.

When are we gonna have our first egg heist?

Ira Schoffel: Reflecting on Leonard Hamilton's legacy at Florida State CHARLOTTE — The game was essentially over. Syracuse senior Jyare Davis had hit both of his free throws to put the Orange ahead by four points with 0.9 seconds remaining. There literally was no way Flo...

After coaching his final game at FSU on Tuesday night, Leonard Hamilton said it will be up to others to evaluate his 23-year tenure and legacy with the Seminoles.

So I gave it a shot.

Just offered to help my wife do some decorating for Christmas.

And she basically told me to shut up and type. 😂

Watching this Memphis-Tulane game and I swear it feels like FSU played Memphis forever ago.

Longest season ever.

A public service announcement about joint replacement: If you’re putting it off out of fear pain and length of recovery, don’t. If you’re miserable enough each day to be considering it, put up with the initial misery the procedure and recovery entail. It’ll be worth it.

Yesterday was only the second time this season FSU went into halftime with a lead. And the first time was 7-6 against Cal.

So this was the first time an FSU QB went into halftime with even a hint of confidence. And I think that was really big for freshman Luke Kromenhoek.

Haven’t said this in a good long while, but this FSU men’s basketball team is fun to watch.

Hey thanks! Appreciate the feedback.

The one positive to FSU being bad this season is we don’t have to spend one second stressing about the College Football Playoff scam and the bullshit reasons the committee dreams up each week to justify their nonsense rankings.

It’s very strange. Part of it can definitely be attributed to Jordan masking their deficiencies. But man for man, it seems like the veterans have regressed. Hard to figure out.

Cool. Then I’ll probably engage about the same amount over here if that’s how it goes. I know the product sucks without being told it over and over and over.

Being frustrated and angry is completely understandable. Who wouldn’t be? I just got tired of the response to every post being to crap on the program and everyone associated with it.

People have the right to want to live that way and express those opinions. But not what I want to engage with 24/7.

Once they started dropping DJ back 40 times/game early in year, I knew they were sunk. That was never going to be the recipe for success w/ him at QB and these WRs. But they couldn’t run the ball, and I think that doomed them. Anyway, those are my thoughts. Thanks again for not screaming at me! lol

1 year ago 5 0 2 0

Honestly, in my opinion, most of the problems of this season go back to them being wrong on the OL. If Norvell thought he wouldn’t be able to run the ball and provide good pass-pro, there’s no chance he signs DJ.

But they were wrong on that … I’m guessing mostly because JT masked deficiencies.

1 year ago 6 0 2 0

The other mistake in context was we thought the OL was better than it was. So did Norvell and Atkins obviously. So when the D-Line dominated the OL in stretches of practice, we again assumed that meant the D-Line might be great. We never thought the OL would be this bad. No one in the program did.

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

There were two other big context clues that made us feel good about the D-Line. One was the large numbers of scouts who were coming to practice and basically drooling over them. Those are the same guys who told Thamel that it was the most talented group in the country. As I said, they LOOK the part.

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

And Farmer and Payton both got bigger and ostensibly stronger. So you’re expecting even more from them.

As far as what we see in practice, I’m not trying to make excuses, but they generally don’t tackle to the ground in practice. They do in scrimmages, but we don’t get to see those. (Con’t)

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

I appreciate the tone. Thanks!

As far as the D-Line goes, I don’t think that’s too hard to explain. You brought back a 2nd-team All-ACC guy in Farmer and a DE with 7 sacks and 14.5 TFLs in Payton. And MJJ and Darrell are as physically impressive as anyone you’ll see at their positions. (Con’t)

My guess is after UF. And heard they’re willing to wait longer if the right candidates are in the playoff. Not ideal for recruiting and the portal, but seems like they’re more determined to get right hires than worry about that right now.

I’ll try to lean on our guys. lol … I’m sure some won’t want to lose their large followings and start over. But we’ll see what we can do.

Looks like more are starting to make their way over. … I’ll be honest, I stopped posting much about FSU on the other app because it was just a tidal wave of negativity. Would be happy to have rational conversations about what’s gone wrong and where things are headed if anyone is interested.
