Their loss!
It's just an amazing environment! I can spend a day working there, then see a show in the evening
One of my favourite places--the National Theatre. Fascinating play, "The Authenticator" by Winsome Pinnock, with three strong performances, great set design, fun thriller and ghost story elements, with a serious point to make.
I love Bristol! Such a beautiful place. And of course I did a mini book signing at Waterstones
This is either an official pic from my talk at @agathafestival.bsky.social Spring Gathering or me singing "My Way"
Back in Austen country! Signed some books this morning at the iconic Topping & Co

A huge thank you to Richard Reynolds of Bodies in the Bookshop for hosting six great authors (plus moi) for a packed "Crime and Nourishment" event in sunny Cambridge. Thank you to everyone who came and chatted to me, and bought books! I signed a bunch more for the shop as well--please buy them!!

If we're talking about locked room mysteries (like that upcoming anthology from Crippen & Landru, see my repost from @tommeadauthor.bsky.social a couple days back) let's talk about where it all began ...
Huge thanks to No Exit Press for my translator copies of Paul Halter's magnificent book, THE DEMON OF DARTMOOR! A brilliant impossible crime story by a master of the genre. I was honoured to translate it. Get your copy now!
Thank you for sharing!

Operation Mincemeat achieved the impossible by (just about) matching the truly momentous hype it's received! Amusing, catchy, and performed with immense skill and exuberance.
Out and about in London town today with the legend that is @charlottelpoet.bsky.social !
A wonderful evening in the charming bookish company of Otto Penzler, Luisa Smith and Charles Cumming!
Braving the London Book Fair was definitely worth it this evening to see my marvellous agent Lorella Belli and her team! It was an absolute pleasure to meet so many wonderful co-agents, and of course my fellow authors Keith Brooke, Richard Jerram, Caroline James, Nicola May and Ruth Dugdall!
THE WOMAN WHO WASN’T THERE
By William Hussey
A propulsive, mind-bending mystery with a twist to die for. The characters are vivid, the plot moves like a dream, and the tension is relentless. A superb, suspenseful treat.
Excellent UK Ghost Story Festival panel event for UNQUIET GUESTS from Dead Ink, featuring Ally Wilkes, editor @dancoxon.bsky.social , Alison Moore and Will Maclean. The collection also includes tales from Grady Hendrix, Chuck Palahniuk, Matthew Holness and more!
Brilliant gossipy post-panel lunch with my wonderful friend Susannah Wise!
