Parkeernormen verlagen, met een maximum in plaats van een minimum: prima denkrichting! Wel eerst even dat gereguleerd parkeren invoeren.
Los van dat het parkeren van prive auto's in ondergrondse garages duur is: alle auto's onder het maaiveld opbergen is uiteindelijk ook geen oplossing voor het probleem, als je de stad veiliger en leefbaarder wil maken en juist de alternatieven voor de auto (lopen, fietsen, OV) de ruimte wil geven.
Amsterdam heeft voor deze wijk wel een hele dure parkeergarage nodig gehad. Laten we het in Haarlem anders aanpakken.

In 1992 there are bollards to stop footway parking and cars parked on the road. Today there is no car parking, replaced by trees and lots of greenery. People walk in the middle of the road due to the lack of motor traffic

Good news: it's possible to envision a city that accommodates essential car traffic while simultaneously providing space for cycling, walking, outdoor play, socializing, and green spaces. A city that is equitable and accessible, healthy and thriving.
