Can we leave coding a bit alone?
“Every child should learn how to code”
“Stop learning code AI is the future”
“You should still learn to code”
“No stop learning”
Just learn if you are curious/need it, that is all.
But stop learning how to knit though, AI powered knitting machines are THE FUTURE.

I am not reading blogs or anything like that anymore, if it is not ultimately necessary. The amount of great information and talk that you can with o1 is mind blowing. It definitely feels like talking to an expert.
All these productivity “gurus” on YouTube: What are you productivitying about, creating your YouTube videos on how to be more productive?

This is so true. It takes much less time, much less awkward conversation and you connect with amazing people globally. Personally decided not to go any networking event for a long while, unless it is so specific.
Any WHOOP user here? How do you compare it to Garmin or Fitbit or other fitness trackers? Does it worth it?
Which AI tools you are using?
I haven't fixed on any of them yet but for me:
- ChatGPT (Pro)
- Perplexity (Pro)
- Claude (didn't make the jump yet to pay, it is usually switching me to Haiku model)
- Github Copilot (mostly with Sonnet, that's why I do not have Claude yet)

Python with FastAPI on the BE

We always talk about where the Pareto principle (80/20 rule) applies, and I think there’s some comfort in this principle. :)
But what are the things it doesn’t apply to? And what’s the one thing it applies to most, for you?
Exactly my feelings, even the language and how people structure their sentences is different than other places. I have seen so far less glorification of self and things. Let’s see in the future.
This platform feels like the early days of social media, where everybody just says what they want. I stopped posting for a long time pretty much everywhere, and right now the social media is so well crafted, it is scary.
How do you deal with this? Just post?
