I wasn’t sure if investing time into hanging out and trying to restart a old meet up that has been dormant for ages was going to come anything off it, but today…

Today is a day of hope and excitement. <3

Today I went to @mwug.uk and met two new faces.

Their curiosity about the group and working their way into the web industry reminds me of myself when I was starting out.

It also reminded me the power that a community has in building relationships and fostering curiosity and communities.

Also just realised I was tagging the talks earlier with a typo in the #.

So on brand it hurts. Lol

Kind of annoyed the last train home is at 10pm but I have to say after a while away from the open source community,

I ducking love the open source community.

Thank you to everyone I met at #PfP #ProtocolsForPublishers for the chats and the talks.

I needed this. I’m inspired again. Stay in touch

The biggest barrier of sharing data was control. And can they change their mind?

Value flows back to the people who created it.

“Hoarding makes everyone poorer.”

“We’re in a position of data isolation.”

It’s understandable for blocking and defending the data, but it has consequences.

The internet is less than 1% of the world’s data.

I miss Fosdem. Really should put it back on my calendar.

Wtf. I just booked train tickets to London for next week and it cost me for a advance day return £70.

Granted I’m travelling off peak hours. The peak hours are eye watering.

"I turned #CSS in a SQL database."

#webdev were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

The self sabotage is at an all time high. But so is the support of people around me to counter it.

Never underestimate how you impact others because so much of the tech community have helped build me into me and I’m grateful everyday.

Why do I always underestimate how long it takes to write stuff?!

Especially since most of my day is spent planning, designing and writing down my thoughts on various things at work.

Oh yea, thats going to take me 30 minutes -

— days later.

For those joining Bluesky from the Bad Place: welcome.

Yes, you could/should have made the decision sooner, but it is never too late to make a good decision.

And there is a lot on this site which will remind you of the Bad Place before it was bad.

Nice to be back at #wcsofia. Really enjoy listening to the talk in the local languages. It’s surprising how much I can guess.
