The trolley system in the SF East Bay was first built by local developers encouraging settlers to move across the bay after the SF earthquake. It was efficient and was torn out in the 60s. Oil and tire Co. wanted to encourage car driving. The old routes are used today by regional bus service.

I was raised Catholic (currently recovering) and my devout mother always told us the Pope is infallible. He is a literal channel of Christ and so cannot be wrong. Don’t know what has changed since then!
