My weakness with doing sound design for presets and sample packs is that I'll hyperfocus and do shit like spend 2 hours trying to exactly replicate the bass synth from BoC - Roygbiv instead of being productive and churning out 4-6 patches in that time

Getting realistic sounding snares and rims on the Digitone II using a combination of the FM and the Comb- filter. Mostly experimenting to find the right ratios for harmonics, but I was wondering, do any of you sound design nerds know a resource for FM ratio settings that mimic real instruments?

Yeah I've done just about every life hack imaginable, my actual belief is that the energy demands of modern work life are just incredibly unnatural.
On day 72 of a caffeine break. I mistakenly thought that after 15-30 days I'd have as much energy as I usually did on caffeine days. The assumption was that I had a tolerance and was just managing dependency. That was wrong, my baseline energy is dogshit (or society is just built around caffeine)

Stalker 2 has quickly become one of my favorite games of all time. The atmosphere of bleak hopelessness, psychological horrors, and reality breaking events is perfect. The mystery and tensions between factions and shadowy government orgs is great too. Really good inspiration for writing new tracks.
People are often surprised when I tell them this: both Twitter and Facebook/insta/threads are now specifically engineered to downgrade, hide, suppress real journalism. If this platform is different, that's a huge change
