My commute may take longer and be less distance but I'm moving almost the entire time. It feels good.

I’m not sure to make this more clear to everyone.

Bicycles are important to our survival.

Look at the dinosaurs, they didn’t have any and look how they turned out.

Bicycles are multi-fuel! Sub sandwich, beer, fettuccine, anything edible is turned into power to cycle.

This is based off my limited knowledge of orbital dynamics and my better familiarity with clogged toilets.

No, the only thing I'll accept as an alternative is mounting a desktop Gateway computer running Winamp.

I had a Gateway 486 100mhz desktop that could do nothing else while playing mp3s! 😂

I use a few apps that will tell you what sats are flying over you. Heavens-Above and ISS Detector. I use Android, unsure if these are available on IOS. A lot of rocket bodies from the past decades still orbiting us. They also show starlink(🤮), ISS, amateur radio sats, etc.

My wife and I love trying to spot satellites while stargazing. It's a competition. We saw one that was flashing years ago. It was a old rocket stage that was probably tumbling in its orbit.

Welcome to the Center of the Universe - Longreads For the men and women who use the Deep Space Network to talk to the heavens, failure is not an option.

If you don’t know what the Deep Space Network is, I’ve got you covered. It’s truly the most incredible underrated core of our entire space program. Nothing would exist without these dishes and the people who use them 📡❤️ longreads.com/2018/03/15/w...

I tried to get my automobile insurance premium to be based off mileage. My vehicle is too old for the device needed. It would probably cut a 1/4 to near 1/2 current cost. Really sucks.

Just heard an ad for ebay. "The worst thing about loving cars just might be buying them and the parts...."

Let me tell you that is not the worst part. Death and destruction are the worst parts about loving cars.

Owners of the Hiplok DX1000 U-lock... has anyone found a good, solid way of mounting the U-lock in the vertical position, either 'U' up or 'U' down? I don't like that with its standard mount, its horizontal position is much wider than the left AND right sides of the rear of my bike. 1/2

My bicycle revival came as a free beater of a wreck bicycle dropped off in my yard by a family member of my wife. Maybe I'll be able to help someone onto a bicycle someday.

Leave, they can't be trusted 😆

This is first ever disc brakes and I'm not fond of them. They always need attention. I don't know if it is just the bottom dollar mongoose oem brakes or disc in general? Probably, my lack of knowledge. I've thought about Avid BB5 or BB7 as an upgrade esp. if I electrify. The Orox looks amazing.

I do hope seeing a bicycle used for transport encourages a kid to see what the future could be.

I met my daughter and classmates for a roller skating field trip. It was fun watching controlled chaos. I left with some extra cargo on the bicycle. I didn't encounter any unruly motorists so I didn't need the sword.😆 I do need some brake pads after 3000 total miles on this steed. #bikesky 1/2

Reminds me when family cut trees for firewood when I was a kid. The trees grew new shoots and it turned into an amazing maze of limbs and leaves!

I snapped a saddle clamp bolt this morning. That was surprising! I thought the frame broke when it happened, thankfully just the bolt.

If it's the alarm sound, call fire dept. If it's a single beep or similar, call apartment manager. A beep is low battery or malfunction. Please check your smoke alarms for good battery and date to replace.

I bet this is unique to #carryshitolympics. High pressure air bags for lifting heavy objects. My cargo bike is just one link in a supply chain to get these to a fire truck to save a life some day.

I biked to dentist for a cleaning. Wife came from work for appt. I'm hitching a ride home. I used a mix of low speed streets, multiple use paths, sidewalks and a few hundred feet of ground to arrive safely. Multimodal transit day. Nothing new.

I use straight arm signals because a lot of drivers don't know how to use their own vehicle's signals let alone what a bent arm means.
