the shuttering of the new york times in our lifetime inshallah
You can do all these things to adopt the appearance of a human being, but you cannot insist we adopt your falsehood as fact.
This is just sad.
this is one of the best memes of all time
I think we’ve established that, yes.
Literally context clues.
That’s the wildest thing, even in the age of kings who believed themselves appointed by the divine they were consumed by making sure they had successors, these politicians just seem to believe in their own immortality instead.
They are actively conspiring to keep the conditions of people like Feinstein and Scott from the public. Attempting to primary many of these people makes you a pariah of your own party. You cannot pretend there is not a thumb on the scale here.
Grasping at fucking straws now
Would you prefer mandatory and routine competency testing for elected officials over a certain age? Or does one of these two seem more dignified and less invasive when dealing with the question of people refusing to do the right thing and retire
We do not always get to choose when we are ready.
Lighten up Francis
A hard age ceiling applies to everyone. It is not a “slippery slope” to barring people with disabilities from holding office, no matter how much you need that to be my argument’s conclusion.
I refuse. It is not ageist to point out at that point in your life you begin to slow down. The man in question was, by the sound of it, a source of concern for just about everyone working with him over his inability to keep up with the job. He had not voted for six election cycles.
Screenshot of FF7 for PS1. Barret's text box reads: People say they love milfs yet look how they treat the original milf (mother earth)
Thanks Barret ur right 🌍
What other jobs do you think people over 75 should be doing regularly, out of curiosity?
Because you just made up a position for me to hold. Why should I respond to it?
Yeah you think you’re going to cow me with this “ageist” argument but I am unmoved.
This is actually a really interesting tell, because the "invevitability of AI" narrative sure feels like it's really about the inevitability of climate change, what with how obviously AI accelerates it and immediately requires extreme increases in energy production
Scott was in politics for 50 years and then died at his desk in the midst of preparing to run for yet another term. Clear indications that he was no longer possessed of the energy required for the job. Congress is not a substitute for a retirement home. With Feinstein it was genuinely elder abuse.
I always hated that name.
want banana/starve
Friends??
You can’t talk Goku out of a fight
How many times are we going to have to have a RBG event before you wet blankets accept the simple fact that people at that age should be retired, not desperately clinging to power
If they won’t do the right thing and retire then they must be made to. Our “democracy” cannot survive this level of narcissistic indifference.
Not from a Jedi…
a poorly drawn baby corn (the cat) with his famous flat top
