Ballooning rents outpace wages in every region and all but one capital city Exclusive data shows skyrocketing rents have outpaced income growth in every regional area in Australia and all but one capital city.

"Many renters across Australia are hurting and in distress. As rents rise faster than wages, they're trapped in a relentless cycle … facing a reality where hope for a brighter future feels increasingly out of reach."

When right-wing scum tried to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer, Republicans made excuses.

When a lunatic beat Paul Pelosi with a hammer, they made jokes.

And when Trump sent a mob to attack the Capitol, they made up lies.

Don’t lecture us about condemning violence.

I've always loved this photo from 1893. It's before the Labor party was formed in Queensland. Every one of them is looking into the camera but they are also looking back at us from 120 years ago. They went to prison for better working conditions. #qldpol

Middle East crisis live: Paramedics reported killed in Israeli attack on Lebanon as IDF orders evacuation of Beirut suburb Lebanon’s state-run national news agency said the Ghobeiry area ‘witnessed heavy gunfire’ from Israeli forces

Another day and another case of the IDF murdering one of its favourite targets - health workers.

Only just behind children, pregnant women and journalists.

Don’t be the same dusty ass you were on Twitter. Post your hobbies, your passions, talk with each other, follow people back. There is no reason for someone with like 78k followers to be following a handful of people. Don’t act like you’re an elitist dipshit here. We are nice here, to each other.

A lot of accounts asking for followers but we follow back everyone who asks no matter how long it takes us!

RT and drop a heart if we still need to get you! 💙

Lovely 100 mill nonvoters

Just a polite message

You, maybe, aren't fascists, nor racists, but your free decision "not to vote" enabled the coming regime..

This makes you even worse than all of the rotten maggots.

I hope, you'll suffer threefold of the sane ppl

Just my calm & honest opinion

I’ll follow and follow back most people, tbh, I love new friends, new things and learning.

But, my line in the sand is genocide supporters, fascists, racists, serial liars, abusers, bullies, trolls, and sycophants.

I think that’s fair.

Australians might think a person like Trump could never be elected here, but I disagree. The Voice ‘No’ campaign was Trumpian - weaponised victimhood, opposed equality, spread disinformation, created fear, sowed confusion and doubt. Used the same playbook as Trump’s Republicans and they won. Beware!

Guy: “My cousin’s a lesbian. Maybe you know her?”

Me: “It doesn’t work like that. We don’t all know each other.”

Guy: “She lives in Brunswick. Her name’s Claire. She has a three-legged cat called Trixie.”

Me: *walks off so I don’t have to tell him we were engaged in 2013*

Why There Won’t be an Early Federal Election in 2024 Early election speculation is like some creature from an Eagles song. You can stab it with your steely knives but you just can’t kill the beast. In the first half of 2023, when the Albanese governm…

Peter Dutton has been howling for an early election for most of 2024. Antony Green wrote in May why there wouldn't be one. Why does the media continually go with "Peter Dutton says..." & not the experience of an election analyst? #auspol

Good news: Twitter is collapsing.

And this chart doesn't even show the last two weeks—which have seen the largest exodus in site history.

There are reports from Newsweek and others that Twitter may merge with Truth Social.

If that happens, the last collapse of Twitter may happen almost overnight.
