Ebba is disassociating while we flee as guards show up, most likely to pin everything on our group. We run to the dockyards for an airship waiting and it's a blood bath.
We make it onto the ship, but at the cost of some npcs getting petrified by an assassin.
God what a session I love DnD lol
The templar is allowed to take off his helmet, more golden hair and elf ears. He smirks "The tower isn't the only station, it's family business."
In context, golden haired elves in this world are nobles, Merida was part of a military household close to the evil Queen of Vr'illia. There is no escape
Merida now dead, 1 templar remains alive and the man leaves with teleportation.
We grapple the templar and I ask him why, why were you chasing me all those years?
"Orders from higher ups"
Ebba was confused, she thought Merida was the higher up. Stunned, she could only mutter "what do you mean"
Ebba felt in the moment if she went to Aiken the man would kill him as a blade was drawn to his neck. Doing nothing would give Merida more strikes against her once she could move again.
So if I kill her, I can finally be free.
Ebba used her blood magic to power her hammer, and dealt a deadly blow.
As the fight raged on, Ebba was whittled down to half health, and Aiken at 1 hp. The man uses similar blood magic to Ebba, so when he cast a mass command spell, only Ebba could still move while the entire map was frozen. Many thoughts went in my/Ebba's head, save Aiken? Kill Merida? Or simply wait?
Aiken, the half elf gets thrown into a 1v1 duel with the man we'd been hunting, surrounded by a wall of fire. Then we have Ebba who has to face Merida 1v1 with no armor on as the templars swarm the rest of the party.
Imagine a bard, druid, paladin, and cleric vs 4 beefy paladins that can parry lol
The mansion catching fire as templars swarmed in, killing nobles and causing chaos. The villain who invited us to a fight just looked annoyed, went "change of plans, survive this and you'll be rewarded." Then villain b shows up along side Merida and her crew.
So basically before the fight even began, Ebba watched as Adeline ran in front of Merida to stop her from going after Ebba. Of course... this would not end well for her as she got stabbed through the stomach to the hilt of a great sword and then pushed to the side like nothing.
So much happened...

It really was! We played until 12am lol
We're saving the fight session for tonight, very excited to see where it will go from there!
Ebba didn't get to dance with anyone, a small bummer but a blessing in disguise because I kept rolling so bad during our practice dances the night before. 😂
One day Ebba will dance with a pretty lady!

We made a deal with the oh so polite villain to have a fight out on his terrace after he addresses the nobles.
Next session big fight!! And Merida will most likely show up and solely target Ebba with who knows how many templars with her lol
But since we knew something would happen with one of the villains at this ball, Ebba decided to stay and made a different plan with Adeline. Send the signal for my capture when things get heated, stoke the fires of chaos.
Oh and of course the ladies met the villain upstairs with no weapons lol
Ebba freaked out and was starting to freeze in panic, the party member next to her led her to the storage exit. Adeline followed them!!! God the conversation was so tense between the two, Ebba almost left the party to lead the templars away from the venue in a chase because she's used to running. 😭
DnD Ball part one was very fun and scary!!!
Ebba's ex-situationship bard lady and her band were performing at the event. She clocked Ebba immediately and messaged her to run, that Merida was here outside waiting for her signal to capture Ebba.

Ashur the knight stands, holding their stone scythe near their feet. Little blue and brown mushrooms seem to be growing out of the weapon. Moss seeps through their armor and deep into the hole where a heart would be. A glowing blue crystal rests in the helmet where the left eye would be. Curved horns point up with bits of vines draping off of them. Behind Ashur is an old ruins with collapsed columns and vegetation.
