Life is everywhere: life is resilient but we must listen to it, take time to breath it, feel it, turn to it respectfully and acknowledge the people who know the lands, their paths, their plants, their animals.
There is where life resides, not in technological promises or plastic futures or museums.

It's been almost 9 years since my first release "Nocturnal Sounds of the Atlantic Forest" and I just been recording there again (unplanned, though!), in a very well preserved area, with more maturity and better listening.

Amazing to meet and talk to Jakub about his work, which is incredibly poetic. Nature field recording is much bigger than what it seems and Jakub is one of those artists who naturally show that with his own philosophy, knowledge and approach.

I highly recommend listening to this episode!

Sound Design - Audio Drama Reel 2025 - Melissa Pons YouTube video by Melissa Pons

My audio drama reel with shows from 2024 and 2025.

The first two samples (Connections and Liars & Leeches) showcase best non-literal sound design, with strong scenarios and emotional cues, while the following are more representative of literal editing.

Thank you for watching!

Sometimes it is yes, and never mind how one often needs to sell themselves on social media to get work and projects going.

Toy photography seems really cool!!! 😁 Is there somewhere for others to see?

Glad to know you've been ok! 💚 It's already a victory in 2025

Thank you so much, Ian!
It's not looking promising at all and it's a terrible time in the year to find a new audio gig, I think.
I'm looking for other options and making my best at budgeting.

I hope you have been doing well! 💫

about half a second before the previous shot, where the gull is yelling and you can see the crow even closer

WOW! I've been seeing a medium sized murder of crows on my way to my pelican sunset location, about 40-50, and I've thought about stopping, but never had the time.

Today I had an extra 20 minutes and while driving past I saw WAY more crows AND them swooping on GULLS!

I stopped.

And got these. 🪶 ⚔️
