Screengrab of Hackney Empire’s website. A bight yellow background, with the Hackney Empire logo in black, top left. Beneath that, a tilted black rectangle with ‘Robyn’ written in white, bold uppercase. Beneath that ’26 Mar, 8pm’ in black and another black lozenge reading ‘Book now’ in white. To the right, a rectangular black and white image of Robyn; a pale-skinned woman with cropped, bleach blonde hair, standing against a white background with arms aloft and fists clenched. The image is cropped just above the chest and she appears to be nude.

A: There’s a huge rush, and tickets sell out fast!
Earlier this week, Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn, who’s about to embark on a global tour, went on sale with an intimate show at @hackneyempire.bsky.social …

Extreme close-up of clumps of bright yellow daffodils (about a dozen flowers in total, with the one at the very front, on the left, out of focus). It’s almost a worm’s eye view, so all we see behind the flowers is blue sky.

In a bright office with white walls and skylights covered in newspaper, three people in ascending height order (Katie, Kris, and James) stand with their backs to the camera. They're looking up at a tall, wide wall. On that wall is huge map of the world.

From three people in a leaky garage in Birmingham, Supercool has grown into a Climate Action Workforce of 18 excellent humans.
We’re now dotted all over the UK, but are still crafting excellent websites for some of the UK’s leading arts, cultural, and heritage organisations.

A rugged coastal rock formation in the foreground and midground, topped with vivid blue sky and some wispy clouds. In the foreground, the rocks are covered in orangey-brown sponge structures, along with patches of bright green algae. The sun is shining brightly from the right, casting bold shadows; accentuating the rocks' crags, crevices, and rounded, sea-worn edges.

With a fresh look, Spektrix integration, and improved UX, the website aims to make ticket booking easy, while also showcasing the Royal Court’s important work supporting the next generation of writers.
Launching a new website is always exciting. Try adding a big season on-sale, and celebrating a major milestone anniversary. Exhilarating!
(If also a tad scary – but read the article to find out why that 'on-sale fear' isn’t always a bad thing.)

A landscape of frosty fields in the bottom half of the image is topped by a clear, bright blue sky – just one long, thin white cloud coming in from the right. In the background, green hills are catching the sun. In the mid-ground , a light mist sits over frosty fields. The fields are separated by low hedgerows, dotted with bare trees which are casting long shadows from the rising sun to the right. In the foreground, the top of a hedgerow’s leaves are curled and covered with crisp white frost that’s catching the sun.

Ever looked into ‘creative problem solving’ – but then been bamboozled by all the different systems and frameworks and courses and jargony names for it?
Well, now Andrew’s done the hard graft for you, by finding, understanding, and then distilling umpteen different problem-solving frameworks 🙌
We’ve been thinking about when cultural websites should embrace creativity – and when they should just stick with the tried-and-tested stuff.
Hmmm 🤔
So, there’s now an article about that very conundrum, over on our website: supercooldesign.co.uk/articles/cre...
