I need a space on the Internet where I can safely (emotionally) ask people what are good songs to do at karaoke, anyway, not sure that exists so Internet sucks

I feel like you described my work exactly lmao
Earlier today I watched a Star Trek: TOS episode where the computer turned into a sexy chatbot for no reason, unrelated to the main plot
And so, like other Star Trek tech that bootstrapped itself into existence (flip phones, iPads, touchscreens) I'm finally convinced now that LLMs are here to stay
So to facilitate it you really need interoperable data between different tools, which is a thing that is happening amongst various stakeholders including myself β but I don't know if there's anything public yet
What I mean by that is, extending Streetmix to do intersections is like building x^3 amount of effort.
The position I've long held is that it's easier to build a new app for the purpose of designing intersections than by extending Streetmix as a starting point
I totally agree, intersections are where the real work happens!
If you think of Streetmix as a 1-dimensional tool, then extruding a cross section into a street is a 2D tool (covered by 3DStreet, CityEngine, etc), then intersecting them is 3D. The complexity jumps exponentially 2x
The OECDβs new Road Safety Annual Report offers a reminder that the US approach toward traffic safety is an abject failure.
Americans are >2x more likely to die on the road than those in South Korea, Israel, Australia, Spain, and other rich countries.

most of adulting in modern times is just looking up six random digits on one device and copying it to another within a certain time limit, repeat indefinitely
halftime show fromt eh supebowl showing a set on the field featuring a nyc bodega
This kind of smart, walkable, mixed-use urbanism is illegal to build in most American cities.
I think I could get used to the idea of opening and closing every concert with half of a football game

Just curious if people who post stuff on the Internet are mad when I open an app, many days later, and indiscriminately scroll past every single one of their meticulously crafted engagement-maximizing dunks because I don't have the fucking time
We really need more inspiring stories of people who are trying to leave their influencer careers in order to realize their lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer
Hot take: my favorite players on The Traitors are the ones who are accidentally right about a traitor for bad reasons
Who else is degenerate enough to read a podcast instead of just listening to it
I have 3d printed a physical save icon
Ace Ventura's well known catchphrase "Alrighty then!" did not originate with the movie.
Four years earlier, in the first sketch of the pilot episode of In Living Color (April 15, 1990), Jim Carrey said "Alrighty then!" for the first time β and not the last in the sketch series.
You should be able to mark a folder on your computer or phone as NSFW and it's wild to me that several generations of operating systems engineers never thought about that
You: what is your deepest, darkest secret
Me: .... for 20 years I've been practicing a Singaporean accent, and no one knows I can do it and I can't use it anywhere
dudes out here really do be like "astrology is woo woo bs for idiots" and then turning around and applying dnd alignment charts to literally everybody
My 80-year-old aunt told me she "got tired of streaming" and is borrowing DVDs from her library again.
So I checked it out and they have an amazing selection. Blu-rays too, from Criterion, Kino Lorber and other boutique labels.

Guillermo del Toro quoted in Variety: "I don't want digital. I don't want AI. I don't want simulation. I want old-fashioned craftsmanship. I want people painting, building, hammering, plastering."
Intellectually, it's not hard for me to conclude that there is something useful in the technology we're calling "AI" and those useful bits will transform digital workflows in profound ways
Spiritually I'm at a point of just wholesale rejecting modernity and becoming a woodworker instead.
i might just be mad because i can say the last sentence i wrote in australian better than i can say it in delco
OKAY FINE IT'S TIME TO GOOGLE HOW TO DO AN ACCURATE PHILLY ACCENT
spoiler alert: no one fucking knows you gotta be from here
Whenever I reflect on my reasons for self-improvement, or what I've learned as I've grown, or the people who have inspired me over the years, it always comes back to one fundamental truth:
There is never just the one right way to be
So you're telling me you're an expert
Just curious if anyone else has ever had a sequence of events that led them to google "how to rap"
Especially because I just learned I can pull off a jean jacket fr
I kinda hate that in one year a plausible extrapolation of this whole Sydney Sweeney jeans thing is that double denim becomes an unironic conservative trad wife signal
it's just a fucking good song AND i suffer from anxiety
