Now that you say it, 90% of political discourse around universities is based on that belief...I suppose you could say theyre talking about the university *expeerience*, rather than just the teaching?

β€œIf you’ve come here expecting not to be shocked and offended, well, you’ve come to wrong dentistry school” I cackle, as I pull up the slide saying β€œdo teeth make you Homosexual?”

OK, correction: they've never needed to, since Trump has said them himself, many times, and the White House put out multiple graphics listing them.

It's been fact-checked to death. Seriously, just google "Trump 8 wars" and see how many fact checking articles from 2025 come up.

That's kinda my point - this isnt sanewashing, since plenty of US outlets and reporters called BS on it last year.

There are plenty of examples of sanewashing to go after, so I think the frustration is misdirected here.

Because I'm in the UK, so Google prioritises UK results?

See - 2 of the top 3 hits are the BBC fact-checking it last year, and a Times story that was updated today.

There isnt enough time to ask about every piece of BS every time he says it.

The 8 wars BS has been fact checked many times over. Googling "Trump 8 wars" brings up multiple fact checks on the first page.

What more can they do? Theyre only allowed a few questions at any event.

Why? We know what they are (or, rather, what he claims them to be).

What is it with this talking point?!

And which wasn't even a war, according to you.

People have apparently been fleeing for so long I'm surprised the whole place isn't empty!

Respectfully, just Google it.

That, or the fact that he was angry about other countries planning to open the strait without the US, after spending weeks publicly telling them to do just that...while Maria Bartiromo just nodded along.

...responsible, or he's just opening himself up to avoidable "both sides" type criticism.

FWIW, the most ridiculous part of the clip was actually the end, when Trump said the US has "given trillions to NATO", which is an absurd claim/lie, and shows how little he understands.

I agree...he does valuable work, but it's clear that a lot of people don't watch the video, they just react to Aaron's text without knowing when he's paraphasing.

He usually does a fair job of it but he occasionally throws in disingenuous ones like this, which really irk me.

He has to be more...

See?

I dont want to be too harsh on you, I'm just genuinely baffled by this response, which i see so often.

If you follow Aaron Rupar, you surely know that this was covered extensively last year??

Sigh....I hate Trump as much as anyone, but this is such a bizarre thing to attack journalists on.

We know what "wars" he's talking about. He's said and tweeted about them countless times. Media outlets have analysed them.

So why do I see this question *every time* Aaron posts about it?!

Do they think Democrats were the ones who were outraged about this?

Of course he didn't think it was sacreligious - that's the point.

Someone needs to ask Trump cabinet members when they became aware of Iran's nuclear programme (they'd lie, of course, but still).

Because it was presumably active all throughout Trump/Vance's "no more wars!" campaign in 2024, so it can't have been *that* big a deal.

'Like a dog': Trump's favorite comparison clearly needs work When Trump said Republican poll watchers "treated like dogs," he was relying on a comparison he loves, but has never understood.

He doesnt even understand what dogs do.

Right???

I'm not a Man Utf fan but i thought all the replays showed him thinking about it but then not following through, or accidentally grabbing the bun while going for the shirt.

I dont think it was conclusive enough for VAR to pull-up.

In fact, you can add the Iran war to that as well.

It's classic Trumpism and Fascism - he needs you to believe that he's won, but he also needs an enemy to keep riling you up against.

It do find it funny how he talks about the stolen election the same way he talkd about his healthcare plan - the proof is simultaneously already out AND just round the corner.

And in Fox will let him say both things in the same sentence, while saying "yep" to both.

this is legitimately fascinating as an a real life demonstration of why trump is flailing

Did Martinez actually PULL his hair there? It looked like he went for the shirt, felt DCL's hair and let go straight away.
