Most theories say emotions are socially constructed—but forget the body. This paper argues social norms don't just shape how we think abt emotions; they get under our skin, determining whose body gets to express which feelings.

There is an enormous literature on friendship, but next to nothing has been written about enemyship. This article examines enemyship and asks two questions:
1. Is there anything intrinsically good about having an enemy?
2. Would a good person ever have enemies?
