This week has lasted a month
Constant stress about the fear I feel thinking about being replaced at work by AI and also the relief of thinking i might be replaced by AI.
Last night, Automatic Noodle won the Octavia Butler Award!! I'm so honored and happy!!! 🤖❤️🎉 www.instagram.com/p/DUI5pCokno...
Why can't humans retreat into their dens for months and emerge after months of limited activity?
I wish I was a bear so I could go into torpor
Big news! The groundhog is back at my sister's and she gave him a plum
all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.
@moonbat99.bsky.social and I are obsessed with our newly adopted kitty. It should be illegal to have to go to work the day after adopting a cat. #catpeople #adopt
We have applied to adopt a kitty!!!!!!! I am so excited I could cry
Got hit with a double whammy of sickness. Stomach bug and directly into a cold. It's been a tough time, but I have been reading some this week. I just finished Dark Matter by Blake Crouch and I am working on I Was a Teenage Slasher by Stephen Graham Jones and The Paradox Hotel by Rob Hart
Covid suckss
In less than two weeks, September 9th unleashes a fury of horror upon the world. I'm sure there are also more than the ones I've included. How many of these do you have on your TBRs? Which ones are you most excited about?
I finished Automatic Noodle and it was delightful. I wish it was longer. I loved the characters, the worldbuilding, and the cozy plot so much. I hope there are more!!! Currently reading I was a Teenage Slasher #books #booksky #currentlyreading
I am feeling much better, thank you! I joined your subscriber list and started Erased. I want to buy it when I get my next paycheck!!
💜ASEXUAL IS QUEER💜
Ace authors. Ace women. Ace characters. Ace horror.
We're often not considered queer enough to be labeled LGBTQ+. We're often passed up when people are considering LGBTQ+ reads.
We have voices and we'd like to be heard.
Consider these upcoming ace horror offerings this fall.
I have been ill this week. (Stomach virus!! Booo) and have not felt like reaching much. I did finish Of Monsters and Mainframes the other day. I've started Automatic Noodle now and I am enjoying it. #BOOKS #booksky #currentlyreading #reader #scifi
I will also say that in college as an English major, I really bought into the idea that genre fiction had less value than "real literature." It took a long time after college for me to understand all the reasons that is not true and appreciate genre fiction again.
Completely agree. Horror can and does often tackle deeper themes. That's the beauty of genre fiction in my opinion.
Fran Lebowitz has been beating this drum since the year i was born. not just on the loss of artists, but the audience.
I'm reading Of Monsters and Mainframes by Barbara Truelove currently!
I was able to finish both of the books I was reading last week. I finished The Dark Maestro by Brendan Slocomb and The Vegetarian by Han Kang just now... I loved The Dark Maestro. I'm not sure how I feel about the other one. It was a lot. No idea what I will read next. #books #booksky
I did end up finishing Provenance by Ann Leckie this weekend as well.
Just finished The Last Gifts of the Universe by Riley August today. I have started The Dark Maestro by Brendan Slocomb and The Vegatarian by Han Kang. #currentlyreading #books #booksky #reader
Oh and I have been sober from alcohol for 2 years! #sobriety
@moonbat99.bsky.social and I have celebrated my 28th birthday and also moved into our first apartment. I haven't had much time to read this week, but I am about 50% through Provenance by Ann Leckie. #currentlyreading #books #booksky
Finished two books this past week. @moonbat99.bsky.social and I have a crazy busy week coming up so I'm not sure how much time I will have to read. I liked The Village Library Demon-Hunting Society, but it wasn't awesome. Really enjoyed Alice Is Not Dead though. #reading #books #booksky
I'm #currentlyreading Provenance by Ann Leckie and The Last Gifts of the Universe by Riley August.
