SKC seems to have a whack-a-mole approach. Play a good player out of position, because the team doesn’t have a good player to play that position.
(By good, I mean able to make a positive difference to the outcome of the match. Not just “not on disabled list” good)
Can’t band-aid to better.
Shelton could be out there underwhelming.
Salloi has more mustache - although we gave up Russell’s impressive full beard.
Two steps forward, three steps back.
I think Puhlskamp has stopped one PK so far at this level - Chicarito’s lame attempt at trickery PK where all he had to do was nothing.
Or have I missed another?
Nah. I remember the good times.
It will take time, but I’m not giving them *my* time and money. If I want to watch building, there is plenty of college, lower leagues, and youth soccer to watch that is more enjoyable.
(SKC does the same - no money, no entry/no MLS+)
“Manager Peter Vermes said he viewed the play as evidence the synergy between the front four is building.”
Coaching should have had this down before the season started. Empty Vermes promises. At this level you’re paid for results, not progress.
Job was a setup. Intel was bad. Now I’m in an alley with bodies at my feet and mercs closing in. Someone paid to put me down. They should’ve paid more. #Iterum #NoLooseEnds
[Shaky breath] “Suit’s holding up, but power’s low. No readings on the HUD. If anyone’s hearing this… I need a bearing. Anything.”
[Silence, then a slow exhale]
“…If you can’t send help, at least tell me I’m not walking in circles.”
[Crackling static]
“—nyone receiving this? This is—damn, signal’s weak. I’m in sector… unknown, somewhere past the collapsed bridge. Snow’s picking up. Visibility’s—” [short burst of static] “—bad. Trees all look the same. No landmarks.”
Deep in the drowned ruins, a lone Zsathari scout watches the intruders. The Dryborn come seeking the secret of regeneration, but the price is steep—flesh must be shed, and the swamp does not forgive thieves. As war looms, will this outcast be a bridge between worlds or the first to fall?
Not surprised. He must finish that shot - at least put on frame - if he’s going to be called a striker.
SKC had no offensive threat tonight.
Their game plan seemed to be “perhaps athleticism on defense will be enough to keep them from scoring and somehow win us the match”
Two poor teams tonight.
The long shadow of solitude
Aerin shivers. “How much farther?”
Varos ahead. “If we keep moving, we’ll reach the pass by nightfall.”
Lyra tightens her cloak. “And if we don’t?”
Varos exhales. “Then we freeze, or worse.”
Aerin groans. “Why always ‘or worse’ with us?”
Lyra smirks. “Because easy paths don’t make legends.”

Abandoned bunkers of Iterum loom, their walls scarred by war. Locals fear the eerie wails and shifting shadows within. Rumored to hide entrances to a vast tunnel network below, filled with lost relics—or something far worse. Few dare enter, and fewer return.
Do what you gotta do. Your contributions to the KC soccer scene are appreciated!
I vote for here, please!
Enjoyed the announcers! - emotion always focused on play and great job with player names.
If they rambled like most English speaking announcers (Apple and Fox announcers), I didn’t notice, since I don’t speak Spanish.
