You know what emergent tech of the last decade actually works well, and was adopted by millions?

3D printing. It’s great! So many applications.

But also nobody is sneering at you for not having or utilizing 3D printing. Nobody is trying to sneak a 3D printer into your garage without your consent

X is ignoring our researchers' requests for data access. So we are taking them to court❗

The platform is hindering our efforts to understand trends in online public discourse during the upcoming German elections. According to the DSA, this is unlawful, so today, we filed a lawsuit against X.

Friday: a deportation flight containing 88 Brazilians takes off from American soil. The deportees are handcuffed and bound in leg irons, as is standard practice on such flights. The Americans are flying into a trap.

Instagram and Facebook have recently blurred, blocked or removed posts from two abortion pill providers. Instagram also suspended the accounts of several abortion pill providers and hid the providers from appearing in search and recommendations. nyti.ms/4h3PF1x

It’s wild how fast people jump at any excuse to hate and harass women. Platforms know it—and it’s great for their business.

If external researchers can map out how smear campaigns or tactics to boost unknown political candidates (like in Romania) work, why can’t platforms address them proactively?
