We really gotta get this new typing system up and running quickly!
It really feels like we're mad scientisting it up here trying to amalgamate multiple typing systems into one cohesive chimera typing system that still plays like Isekat but is able to accommodate letters from all languages. This has taken an unexpected crazy amount of work.
Your save file still carries over! This is just where we're testing if the different languages read and type fine in-game!
Please let us know if you encounter anything funky!
Isekat is now in Indonesian!!! -in the beta branch! It's going to be here for a short few days just so we're sure that everything's nice and perfect!
To access the beta branch in Steam, just go to settings and enter the code "youareabeater"!

D’aww. It’s taking longer than we thought. I’m really bummed we didn’t make it for day 1 of Typing Fest, but between delaying the update and launching an untested translated build, the former seemed only right.
Hoping to release some languages one by one over the next few days though.
THE THAI VERSION WORKS! If we finish testing by tonight we might be able to make it in time…!
- Spanish & Japanese: Still in the midst of translation!
- Other languages: Nothing else planned yet. If there are other localisers/translators for languages we haven’t done out there let us know!
Localisation Progress:
- Bahasa Indonesia is complete! We’re testing the game to find any awry translations before we go live!
- Thai and Vietnamese: We’re having trouble with making it work with the input system (which was built for latin alphabet) so it’ll take a bit longer…

Wagh, crisis… Turns out that Thai and Vietnamese typing input systems are incompatible with how we built Isekat’s. We have to overhaul some parts to make it work.
Aaaa… nervous, will we be able to finish all this in time? 2 more days to Steam Typing Game Fest…
Upcoming updates to Isekat:
- Localisation in Thai and Vietnamese (they finished first)
- Seamless BGM looping (esp to get rid of baby crying at final boss)
- Steam Cloud saves (hopefully)
