The Typelevel Foundation was determined to be a 501(c)(3) public charity!
This is a testament to the intellectual merit and educational value of our community's contributions to functional programming. Congratulations!

Nice to wake up to good news for a change.
All of them (please 🙂)
I found the last chapters of Rodrigo Nunes' Neither Vertical nor Horizontal super interesting on this.
No B.S. Johnson reference?
@jemgilbert.bsky.social @profafinlayson.bsky.social where's the emergency podcast? It's been at least twenty minutes ...
I was wondering if you could split the arrays around a common pivot, then parallelize the upper and lower merges.
Is there any interesting distribution of the elements within the arrays?
I'd be interested to know what you've tried. Are the arrays the same length? Length (much?) greater than N?
The spectacle is NOT a collection of images ...
@barnabyedwards.bsky.social Hey! I'd love a Babycham ...
What do we want? Flexible strategic pluralism!
When do we want it? The future limits of possibility are opaque!!!

In any case, gmail is also about to pull the plug on fetching and forwarding from pop accounts, so even if I still cared about the occasional spam that's sent to that address, I'd need a different e-mail client to read it. 3/3
I say "forgotten" because it really was forgotten ... I switched away from that service provider (Mistral, if anyone from Brighton remembers them) in the early 00's ... somehow the pop account and my access to it survived despite it not being paid for in over 20 years. 2/3
All that is solid melts into air ...
The plug is finally being pulled on the forgotten pop (!!!) e-mail account which I've had since the 1990's. 1/3
Well that was fun ...

A little light reading for the weekend ...
The report said the increase in green party support suggested for a significant minority of Jews, domestic priorities and progressive values outweigh foreign policy concerns.
The Guardian are reporting a significant increase in Jewish people voting for the Green Party.
It's almost like many of us grew up learning a history of persecution & violence.
We don't oppose the Genocide in spite of being Jewish but because of it.
Never again for everyone.
Lucky me just snagged a return ...
Number of refugees per 1,000 people:

We are not a "generous country". There is no crisis, other than a bankrupt political elite scapegoating the most vulnerable people on Earth.
Well done New York!
CNBC headline: "Elon Musk’s AI-powered Wikipedia competitor goes live after a rocky launch". I've struck through "AI-powered" in red, and replaced it with "Wikipedia-powered"

Overshooting 1.5°C wasn't 'inevitable.'
We've been pushed by fossil fuel giants & governments that pander to them.
Every delay, every oil field, every broken promise made this crisis worse.
Keir Starmer, will you promise to leave Rosebank undeveloped?
