It will be interesting to hear Judge Adelman's instructions to the jury b/c in the defense's motion for acquittal yesterday, they argued that diluting the "corruptly" element to just "wrongful" is not adequate and would allow the prosecution to make a pure pure ipse dixit argument for conviction.

You can't fight if you've been caught and y'all just voluntarily put your hands up and surrendered to the Republicans today. Either you knew exactly what was going on and gave yourself cover with your meaningless "no" vote or you're too weak of a leader to control your caucus. Either one isn't good.
if you genuinely think Schumer and Democratic leadership opposed this & Republicans coincidentally got exactly the number of votes they needed to avoid a filibuster and none of those votes are from Democratic Senators who are up for reelection in the midterms next year, I have a bridge to sell you.
