From Saint Paul’s EV Spot Network to geothermal district energy in Rochester, local governments are proving that clean energy solutions are cost-effective, practical, and scalable statewide.

These plans are not symbolic. They are driving measurable climate progress across the state: lower energy costs, stronger infrastructure, improved air quality, and new clean energy jobs.

Minnesota communities are stepping up and taking climate action into their own hands. Today, 26% of Minnesotans live in a city with a Local Climate Action Plan — and 31% live in a county with one.
