I watched Bama vs Arkansas yesterday and Acuff had like, an insane game. And somehow my attention kept coming back to Philon. Acuff did a ton of scoring but a lot of it came at the end of a flurry of team creation. Philon just did like, everything offensively for Bama.

Honestly every time I've watched Michigan I've been as impressed with Mara as anybody. He's clearly such an incredibly key cog in their system. Mocked late 20's but feels like he's another Kessler/Clingan duplicate. That's worth a high pick. I bet he climbs to lotto - if not, mistake by those teams

On March 11th!!! Marcus Smart was +22000 to win the award. And he gave an impassioned speech that night about how guards lead the defense and somehow came all the way around to win it.
I feel like Ben Simmons almost won a DPOY once because he said "I think I'm the best defender in the league" and everybody lost their minds. I feel like Marcus Smart won the damn award because of that. It's so ridiculous that it feels like that changes anything at all.
I love Wemby. I think he should win MVP. I've thought it for a while. Spurs went from 34 wins, -4 NetRtg to ~65 wins, +9 NetRtg. They've been almost as good as the defending champs & won 4/5.
I also absolutely hate NBA culture that campaigning for an award places you in consideration.
