Indeed. Such a small portion of the population was allowed to vote and only certain powerful people were invited to the secession conventions. Our living history group portrays USCT from Louisiana. Both those things boggle visitors. Blacks? From the South? With a U.S. flag? Yep. 😊✊🏿🇺🇸
