Oooh! What'd you get?

I don't think AI is factoring in here. Might it be the energy-efficiency routing? The app defaults to prefer energy efficiency with the leaf icon, even if the routes are a few minutes slower, but you can disable that through a setting. support.google.com/maps/answer/...
Yeah, it's the same festival, three times a year. We're missing the June 14 one (CFT) but are planning to do the Sept 13 one. We sometimes host a party thing before and after but the Sept one is way south (south of 85). Would still love to join you there!
And here at CimarrΓ³n Park the BMX tricks team was back! What a great way to enjoy the city in a way that is accessible to all.

Our favorite bike festival #VivaCalleSJ came back this year! They close the streets for a few hours on a Sunday so it becomes miles and miles of public free festival. It's one of my favorite things about the city. Videos to follow!
Big and soft! Nice work.
It was a pride float
What a beautiful new you!

Exactly! Turns out my brain is not good at focusing on a smattering of topics for hours on end without an hour of break, when every meeting ends 2 minutes late because the host/lead doesn't stop to breathe.
I rush to the next meeting and STILL get a "will you be joining us?" text of disapproval.

And then of course that post gets reposted by "HELP US PLZ, MY FAMILY NEEDS YOUR HELP NOW", along with two apps saying "your help needed", plus dozens of ads and charity solicitations and everything. As someone who wants to help and do good, this world does a great job of cauterizing it out of me.
The worst part about this is that I genuinely want to be accommodating, to slide lunch around by a half hour to try to make it work for everyone, and then it gets completely taken advantage of. So then I have to set harder boundaries at the risk of appearing "difficult to work with". It's miserable.
"This was the only time that worked. Feel free to suggest a better time for everyone" - so I do a bunch of work for your meeting, or I express work boundaries and say no and then it's my fault?
"Feel free": a passive-aggressive work phrase that insists on intervention without actually requesting it
Day 1 back in office after vacation, already trying to maneuver the three meeting invitations, all "required", booked concurrently across my "do not schedule" lunch hour. (And, of course, folks have booked me before and after that hour too.)
I'm going to start enforcing boundaries. Wish me luck.

Screen grab of an email: At an upcoming performance of Carmen on Saturday, May 16, Seattle Opera will be hosting a Furry Night with a special pre-show meet-and-greet with bass-baritone Christian Pursell, who plays Escamillo in the opera. Pursell will appear as his fursona, Chester the Geroo, and will be available for photos before the show. Although Pursell will not be in his fursuit onstage, we are encouraging audience members to attend the opera in their own costumes and fursuits, if they would like.
This amazing (real!) thing that is happening next month would make an absolutely incredible episode of Frasier
Dax and I in the jetway of our connecting flight in Denver looking rather disheveled. I'm grimacing and making a weak thumbs up, Dax is making a YouTube thumbnail face
Didn't expect to sprint across 30 gates to make our connection in Denver, but here we are π¬π

Capping off NYC with a surprisingly warm day. One last jaunt through the park, one delicious spicy Xi'an Famous Foods meal, and one super cute bar with excellent coyote @yap.zone !!!

Happy birthday!
It's a great vacation, but a little telling that 80% of the way through it I'm still waking up from stress dreams about home insurance.
Yes please. It's always a treat when this can happen.
I think you just described hockey
The Game Over screen of a Stern King Kong pinball game, showing my score of 128,881,860, my personal best, ayyyy
The back room of Sunshine Laundromat in Brooklyn, showing a handful of pinball games as well as the bar area.
The streak continues: if I hit a personal high score on a Stern machine, that machine is not hooked up to Insider π
πSunshine Laundromat, which also has a bar in the back??? I love you Brooklyn π
Was it actually undisclosed payments, or just a sort of "gratin-uity"? π₯
Same! We are bouncing around NYC and there's almost no planning needed based on the frequency and capacity of the trains. It's somewhere between maddening and inspiring.
