I knew about some shitty people in the industry a decade before I had enough sources to publish anything. People come forward on their own time & getting informed consent every step of the way is key. Even with all that, it's stressful for sources. They don't need to do a damn thing. But they do.
90% of the stories I know about the entertainment industry have never been published. 90% of the talks I have with sources never end up in the published work. There is so much agonizing that goes into all of these conversations, the reporting, the fact, checking, the lawyering, I just don’t know man
