It’s release day for Zyggurat - Sphere to Sphere.
7 tracks of psychedelic improv, as free as you like, recorded on the crest of the cosmic hum/deep in the woods in Shropshire.
It's magnificent, emotional and moves like quicksilver.

Playing tunes with Minty, Aerin, and Cancer House soon
We're Moonbuilding's album of the week! The British music journalist Neil Mason (NME, Electronic Sound, Melody Maker) has a pretty glowing review (with a kind of funny mention of ORI at the beginning):

Ultra cursed blue pinstripe aesthetic with no redeeming qualities. I’m horrified thinking of the aromas involved
Happy bday!
I wrote about old rap magazines, the fight for the future of hip hop’s past, and the impact the digital age has had on history, for @defector.com

3 hours of Éliane Radigue (barely scratching the surface) on WFMU via DJ Jesse Dorris www.wfmu.org/playlists/sh... #nowzoning
Farewell to French composer Éliane Radigue (1932-2026) who taught us the radical power of slowness, of patience, and attention stretched to the threshold of perception. Her work will continue to resonate—slowly, endlessly—like a tone that never quite fades.
I’ve been quoted saying this before but it’s still a worthwhile thing to think about.
“I automate whatever can be automated to be freer to focus on those aspects of music that can't be automated. The challenge is to figure out which is which."
That doesn’t only pertain to music.
I try to when time allows. The conversations are generally excellent and theres a high likelihood of seeing friends. I like to support in that way.
😂
Hello. Got some tapes of my latest album on Bandcamp: plant43.bandcamp.com/album/immers...
'Plant43’s album for Muzan Editions is rooted in the living rhythms of the natural world. Inspired by the slow motion of waves and the distant glow of stars, the album unfolds as a deep meditation on breath.'
I had a delivery today. 15 copies of this pretty tape album I made with Muzan Editions. I think half of them have gone already but if you miss out you could always support the label instead.

This was the first techno I ever heard. Music and booklet blew my mind www.discogs.com/release/2311...
Same goes for Trance Europe Express — this booklet had more relevant data than the entire internet in 1993.

One of those albums from the early days of IDM that still transports me to that optimistic future we all dreamed of in 1993.
RIP Ken Downie
Thanks to @turkdietrich.bsky.social for including my album in his Boomkat year end list. Still jamming that First Tone record here 🫡
