Trump gets this whiny voice when he's challenged on something he thinks is true, as compared to something he knows is a lie.
He did it during this interview when he said the MS13 was tattooed on Garcia's hand, and he did it during the debate when he said "I saw it on the television!" re: cats&dogs

This is more proof the WH doesn't want any other message, even Sec. Treasury's.

DOGE eliminating "waste, fraud, and abuse" by going after a government program that makes the government money? Yeah, that tracks. The LPO has lost $1 billion in loan defaults, while making $5.6 billion in interest.

The carrot works. It was working *so well*.
Unemployment up.
Stock market down.
Mortgage rates up.
Consumer confidence at worst levels since the Great Depression.

It hasn't even been 2 weeks since "Liberation Day"...

We are literally being led by the dumbest people alive
Lead levels in the blood during childhood were highest for Gen. X
Lead
Childhood blood lead levels spiked for Gen X, which is the demographic most-supportive of Trump.
Gen Lead Poisoning still fucking us over.
Even after the "pause", tariffs are 13x higher than they were in 2018-2019.
Bravo
The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that they’re not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.
Senator Adam Schiff has announced that, due to the chaos surrounding tariff policy, he will investigate whether anyone engaged in insider trading. Trump may be immune from prosecution, but those around him are not. — It’s time to decimate this MAGA circle.
It's absolutely not legal, but it's Trump, so...
I understand the feeling. I'm running mostly off of spite these days. One day, he'll be dead, and I'll be celebrating.
okay now that you all have gotten a taste of America's rational and predictable new trade policy, everyone who wants to build your new factories here just form an orderly line
If Congress had any ethics, the would immediately launch an investigation into Trump and his entire cabinet.
Of course, most of the Rs were probably in on this blatant market manipulation too, so they have to protect themselves.
4 hours before pausing Tariffs: "This is a great time to buy!"
He tweeted "This is a great time to buy!" just hours before the tariff pause was announced.
Fear has a way of being contagious.
But courage is also contagious.
A similar chart from 2024 showing a more typical decrease in volume throughout the trading day.
Mid-day volume exceeding open is just weird. Here's a chart from a random day in October for comparison
A chart of Nasdaq futures showing unusual volume throughout the day, indicating a lot of short-term trading compared to normal.
Yeah, this is a chart of Nasdaq futures, with volume charted on the bottom. I added the red line which is what volume looks like on a normal non-Trump day. Tons of volume at the open, very little volume throughout the day, and a huge spike at closing(would be off the end of the chart).
It's not even that. Everybody knows the market is going to go down more, but the big players like to push around the smaller ones. They force the price up to trigger stop losses, then let it drop down to where it should be once they're done. Literally the rich robbing the poor.
Apparently there's a lot more medieval half-timber homes all around France than I knew XD
