It is amazing to see how far Harvester has come. In the next version VMs can boot from external storage through a CSI. Welp Portworx by Pure Storage has a CSI that can talk to hardware, aka a FlashArray.

Longhorn uses a bit of resources. It also uses the local disk on the nodes with iscsi and nfs. Are you running VMs? or Managed k8s?

lol. We had an 8tb drive. We needed 30 days of coverage. So yes we have an NVR now with 4-8tb drives. works like a champ. I really appreciate local storage instead of the cloud.

I have had both. I upgraded because the wife wanted a nature cam. The Max, with the drive, can run Protect and record. That is the only difference.
