Haven't run them with the new book yet, so can't comment on their power. But I absolutely hated having to roll for each split and swap in the brims one by one. This way feels so much simpler, and will hopefully slow things down less.
Trying to get out to events more regularly, as well as start a club/game night locally.
I think that's a great way to learn, and it's much easier to fix mistakes. I think they're great paints to use as part of painting, but best used as a tool.
Using them like shade paints, or sometimes as a coat you then paint over can be really useful and save time.
You can also do them over other colours, or over other contrast paints for different results, or really push the contrast between lights and darks.
As others have said, for the contrast paints you need a light base colour for them to work. The undercoat will impact the end result. Using GW colours - Wraithbone will have a lighter/warmer result. Greyseer, cooler/darker. White - somewhere between.

Nice to see a big mix of factions. Slightly surprised there's no Tzeentch in there, they seem like they can really play the new missions/tactics well, from my testing so far.
Was it sylvaneth you played with? Do you know if the pack can be found anywhere? Been thinking about doubles events with my partner.
