Reason #534 that they wouldn’t let me in that briefing room: I’d just be sitting in the back making wanking motions every time he said some ridiculous bullshit like this.

I had a Blue’s Clues related nightmare. Blue was dognapped and I was following a series of clues she left behind to find her. Ultimately it ended me being chased by a member of the gang who took her while I frantically tried to drop a pin for Steve on a laptop with unreliable WiFi.
A word that I write CONSTANTLY, but have to check pretty much every time is “Sheriff.” I can never remember if I should put one R two Fs, two Rs one F, two Rs two Fs, or just leave them all out and type “Shei” and hope everyone knows what I mean.
Of course! That’s how I always took it. It just struck me today that it has a very specific and recognizable shape, lol
For some reason it just now with this stitching clicked with me that the logo is the Edmund Pettus Bridge… I feel exceedingly slow on this one, haha.
YES. The ONLY acceptable endnotes are on electronic publications, and then only when I can click the superscript and see the note immediately overlaid on top of the text without shifting the position of the page. That’s it.
For not the first time I’m acutely aware of how much AI slop there is on social media. I start reading something, hear the cadence in my head, and start to cringe.
lol, true
Yes, we’re definitely ride-or-die with Bluey in this house (kids and adults), but you need some variety.
It’s not bad, as far as kids tv goes
Doc Ock from Spidey and His Amazing Friends. She is wearing a green and yellow suit with metallic tentacles coming out from behind and red goggles. Her hair is cut in a kind of long Mohawk laying down to one side rather than standing up, like a double-sided undercut.
For the uninformed:
Been watching Spidey and His Amazing Friends with the kiddo, and while Doc Ock is an idiot, her hair is objectively bangin!
AKA the Yellowhammer, the state bird of Alabama!
“Marathon Talks.” The Camp David Accords took 13 days. This lasted 20 hours. Fucking clown show.
This is all of us.
It’s a nice reminder that people CAN be awesome!
People on the right love to talk about how social services are impossible to get rid of once they’re in place (as if that’s a bad thing), but NEVER talk about how corporate prices ratchet up for various excuses and never come down again, even after the problem has passed.
all these universities kept axing medieval history departments as if they thought tyrants beefing with the Pope was going to stop being relevant
Markey: "They were planning an actual genocide -- a destruction of a civilization. That's why Trump should be impeached, that's why Democrats should file impeachment articles against Trump, that's why the 25th Amendment to remove me should be invoked."

They all are, tbh. Except Herod’s Song.
Woke up with a song from Jesus Christ Superstar in my head. Specifically the one where all the people want him to heal them and he gets overwhelmed and freaks out and runs away. Must have been dreaming it. I’m sure that doesn’t mean anything…
I didn't know anything about the Artemis II astronauts a week ago and now I would fight my way into Hell for any of them.
Seriously. I’ve spent too much of my life listening to people (let’s be honest— men) say, “Why don’t they just [do X]?! It’s so simple!” And the answer is almost always, “Because it’s a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE idea!” And now a lot of those terrible ideas are official policy. And look where we are.
So when is the Bay of Cheetos supposed to happen?
Everyone always says “no pun intended” when they clearly intended the pun. Cowards, the lot of you!
I want you to put the world out there that we back up
Jesus to Mary Magdalene
Kiosk/vending machines for “Airline Trip Insurance,” boasting policies for “25¢ each $7,500 up to $300,000,” by the Continental Insurance Companies.
Ack! Forgot to add alt text! Fixed!
One thing I like about this job is how I constantly learn things… like how there used to be coin operated vending machines in the airport where you could buy life insurance policies for your flight!
The fuck do they think the word “Universal” means? The whole point is that EVERYONE gets it. Because when you start limiting it, you end up spending more money to means test and people who need it will still get left out.
