A chart of the highest paid CEOs. The top paid of 2018 was Elon musk at 2.3 billion that year alone. All other CEOs listed made between 129-67million each.
This chart compares the federal taxes paid by corporations with the compensation paid to the top five executives at that company. Tesla made over 2,000 million, almost going off the graph, and appears to have paid less than 1 million in taxes in 2024. Other corporations have some disparity, but none as severe.
This pie chart compares sources of federal revenue for 2021. Corporations paid 268.48 billion or 7.5% of the total tax earned by the US in 2021. Meanwhile, the next chart shows what individuals paid in this same chart:
Individual income earners paid $1.7 trillion in taxes - which is 47.61% of the tax earned by the US in 2021. So most tax comes from the people, yet corporations get the largest tax breaks?
elon musk makes a lot of money yeah? But he paid the least amount of taxes of any corporation in 2024.. meanwhile, American citizens filing as individuals pay 47% of tax dollars collected by the US. Wheras corporations pay only 7.5% of this tax. While corps get that gov tax $ back.. Rip capitalism

Fell off the bandwagon :,) but like making the bed, it's never too late to try to take care of yourself ~ and while not all attempts at self care are successful, it's gonna help at least a lil to try! Show up for yourself: you deserve to be your own best ally in life

Okay today has been a struggle tbh. I was supposed to meet my new therapist today... 1hr intake later... she doesn't have the specialities I need, even tho I called the office to book a new therapist & was told this one had these specific specialties

So advice for the day: be patient..
... and then I reminded myself: "better late than never" and I lazily made the bed. It's also better done imperfectly than not at all and I had to remind myself that too!
But now when I walk into my room to go to sleep tonight, I will walk in feeling calmer and more prepared to wind down ✨
Making the bed. Sounds so simple. It's in every self help source I've seen. I can't explain how or why it's a thing, but when I make my bed I feel so much happier existing in my room! Tonite I walked into my room, saw the unmade bed, and was upset with myself for forgetting to make it.. (cont.)
