Reform look on course to be the 2nd or 3rd biggest party at Holyrood come May, but have they hit a ceiling in terms of their Scottish support? Emily Gray reflects on this and other questions in her article for @heraldscotland.bsky.social, below. 👇
New Holyrood voting intention polling out, for those who enjoy that kind of thing. Most interesting bit, IMO, is that 40% might still change their mind (up from 31% at a similar point in 2021).
NEW Holyrood and WM Voting intention and other interesting findings out from @ipsosinscotland.bsky.social. See below for key findings and link to where you can browse tables to your heart's content.
The study involved analysis of nonresponse, literature review, and qualitative work with interviewers, the public, and other stakeholders. As always, a team effort, with @chrisdmartin.bsky.social leading on number crunching, + Tom Huskinson, Alex Walker, Matt Hunt, Rohin Kotecha & Prof Peter Lynn.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, there are no silver bullets, but identifies 4 areas of focus: incremental improvements to survey design & processes; strengthening the fieldforce; more radical changes to design & mode; & efforts to improve the wider survey environment.
Delighted to see our @ipsosinscotland.bsky.social work on survey nonresponse for @scottishgov.bsky.social published today. It explores what underpins challenges persauding people to take part in gov surveys, and suggests practical behavioural solutions (1/3) bit.ly/4oW1F8w
Had a great time yesterday at our 30th anniversary party. But I can’t say I agreed with the public on top Scottish actor of last three decades! Follow @ipsosinscotland.bsky.social for this and other anniversary poll findings.

Highlights importance of work of @greenteamedin.bsky.social to connect young people with nature and develop opportunities for environmental stewardship. #earthday2025 www.gov.scot/publications...
After attending launch of @greenteamedin.bsky.social strategy yesterday, I was struck by finding in our @ipsosinscotland.bsky.social climate survey, out yesterday, that young people were more likely to say they felt ‘powerless’, ‘angry’, ‘afraid’, 'guilty' or 'indifferent' about climate change (1/2)

Soaking up the last of the day's spring sunshine on the way back from an excellent evening hearing @greenteamedin.bsky.social 's youth panel and staff launch their new strategy for connecting young people with nature and each other.
Highlights importance of open, clear communication about exactly why individual DEI policies matter and how they improve workplaces.
New @ipsosintheuk.bsky.social polling on attitudes to promoting DEI in UK workplaces. Key takeaway for me is that when you ask about individual DEI initiatives, more support than oppose, but asking about 'DEI' in general gets a more divided response.
Our NEW #UnderstandingSociety article on Scotland, devolution and public services is out 👉 bit.ly/4kZRr63
Take a look at this thread for the key takeaways:
