or you need to be in and out of emergency accom. for LITERAL YEARS

there are long term accommodations but those are targetted towards students and you need the housing history of an adult to get in anyway, so no matter what you wanna do you either need to be paying rent to a friend while on their couch

you end up being on the street until you find somewhere with an empty bed. it's a bit like the ward in that way as well

but they can be so difficult to get into because not many have beds (because so many young people these days are becoming homeless). while there are resources, it's a bit of a waiting game, and if you get removed from one you kind of need to have somewhere to be in-between or else +

the good things are that they take donations so a lot of the times they have a lot of spare clothes for people who (like myself) couldn't bring much with them and they always have a LOT of food (the one I'm in rn has 2 pantries and 2 fridges full of food)

you also need to pay rent for homeless accommodation, and usually they'll help you get the funds for that, but imo it's just such a shitty thing to do when your main demographic are kids that got kicked out or had to run away

as much as I want to say homeless accommodation in my city is good it's really not. all of the accommodations are for young people (16 - 19) and there are very few that go up to around 21.
