Need to update my frequency of posting on here. Twitter just acquired a sibling in TikTok. The Ryu and Ken of disinformation!

‘Earnings for visual artists in Britain have plunged by 40% since 2010, with experts predicting a “talent drain” from the UK because EU countries offer more attractive working environments.’

I’m 30k followers away from ORGANICALLY having more followers here than on Threads. And it’s been one week.
AND Threads cheated the numbers by automatically adding Instagram followers.
Still trying to navigate the UI a bit more and migrate how I communicate on the other app on here. Not such about what I tweet but HOW I tweeted. It’s like an interesting ingratiation process.
Fridays on Xhitter I do a regular MEGATHREAD 🧵 and this week the topic is THE FUNK.
Eventually I hope to migrate fully to here but for now here it is unrolled on threadreader -

Well, I’ll never be asked to sing Christmas songs at the psych ward again
Apparently, “do you hear what I hear”, was the wrong choice?
New poll finds 53% of Britons support permanent exhibition on Britain’s role in slave trade at British Museum.
72% of respondents agreed that: “As a society, public education about the reality of the British empire is important in order for us to understand Britain’s multicultural society today”
The problem is that a lot within the industry are stuck in part 2 of their life. They can’t articulate one facet in part 3 which speaks to an infrastructure lens… it’s also largely because that part 3 of your life is very humbling. If you struggle with part 3 it’s quite telling
I don’t know who needs to hear this but you should aim to have more fans than industry at your events. There can be overlap, but you should be aiming to connect with people who have no vested interest other than they simply love what you do.
😂😂😂
Oh wow
Well, this is refreshing! My discover tab is filled with cats and funny people, not street fights or far right propaganda. I think I like it here 😊
I once was passionately berated on my diet and health by someone who had turned vegan but continued to smoke cigarettes… it was at that point I knew I was in the Twilight Zone.
I finished my chicken burger in silence.
Videos have to be less than 60 seconds?! 🫠😔😫
Houston!!… we have a problem
What’s the limit on video duration uploads on here?
😂 yeh looks like it. I’m trying to figure out what about this feels more user friendly than Threads.
I wonder what even is in place to prevent the radical elements of Twitter appearing on this app? Not completely sold that leaving an app is effective when you have a group persistent enough to follow but let’s give it a whirl 😬🤷🏾♂️
This is good news. Will be interesting to see how it’s practically enacted but from what I’ve heard it follows the model in football where big clubs help to support grassroots- helping to ensure future players are nurtured. V v important for small clubs

🤣🥳❤️
What's making this transition easier is that the UI is the same as Twitter :)
The party is here!!!! 🥰
Blue skies on the horizon 🤞🏾
