I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and yes, cleaning like a manic actually helps.

A visual performer portraying George Mason wearing bright green 1700s clothing is bent backwards playing two trumpets. A small hers of snares is behind him
C'mon GEORGE! #WGI
So many texts... I think I've blocked six today alone, and I've been blocking multiples a day for the last three weeks
Not even 11am local time, and I have already blocked and reported as spam 3 phone numbers from outside my region with political messages.
Come on Tuesday...
And dude...Definitely don't do that merde after 10pm
The rate that I'm blocking and reporting political spam texts, my phone will either crash by September or I'll have about six numbers than can call me
I'm so GenX I wear my key around my neck
Yet I perceive, should the world forsake us,
Mine own, thou needst shed no tear.
Hark, sweetling, for this eve shall we forge destiny, thou and I,
And I shall dare aught to bid Father Time rewind,
That I might linger with thee this night.
I am not blind to the shadows of our age,
When souls do bolt their gates and seek refuge within.
Whispers abound of Paradise's twilight,
Please, dear Lord, don’t let me f**k up

To the band moms from Vista Murrieta who made my kid take a snack and some water today while they were working the prop/load lot at WGI finals, thank you (and your kids had an AWESOME show!)
The last time I had to do that kind of exercise the entire team went to HR. We were told we had to do it, so I wrote a small script that randomized multiple guess questions and pulled from a list we came up with for fill in the blanks.
He was livid. HR laughed in his face

Alternate time line- @hntdove.bsky.social has his Worldwar series (what if aliens invaded during World War II), his wife Laura Frankos has an excellent trip through the early 20th C Broadway scene with Broadway Revival (working to save Gershwin), and maybe Eric Flint's 1632.
Hello, I made you a feed of your cats watching the Artemis II splashdown bsky.app/profile/did:...
Things that work: giant rocket, very precise math, orbital mechanics, cameras, iPhones
Things that don’t work: Microsoft Outlook, toilets, sat phones
Integrity spacecraft bobbing in the pacific. Closed caption says 'Just to confirm you are pushing the PTT on the radio'
"Can you hear me now?"
It is delightful that the tense space adventure has turned into an IT help desk call
What a beautiful sight... 3 good chutes
YES
OK everyone, remember to breathe... Six minutes to hearing them again
I am so nervous for four people that I've never met and probably never will. Those six minutes of no comms are going to be a long six minutes
I work with high school kids... There's a small group of seniors this year who use it, but all the students I work with from '27 down almost universally hate it. And my college kid is my AI detector--she also despises it.
The only folks I know that love it are C-suite. Go figure...
Streaming Artemis on one screen and WGI Worlds (Color Guard) on another while working on the third
Irish Coffee exists, y'know...
Gen X collectively reliving Challenger, Columbia and Cold War nuclear holocaust anxiety all in the same week is a fucking lot, y'all.
