Hello Bluesky! Itβs been forever since I made art and it feels like even longer since I posted anything so here is a sketchbook watercolor study from Scottsdale, Az.
PS sorry you're hanging out at the ER. Good luck with whatever it is.
Yeah, if the helmet did its job THAT spectacularly, your brain meats got jiggled HARD. Just because you're walking doesn't mean you're okay.

I feel this in my SOUL. Frankly, staying alive makes enough demands on my time that it's hard to make art. I'm not going to entertain MORE demands. This time is for me. Sorry not sorry.
I especially liked the bit about compulsory service. π Further militarizing our society won't improve things, bro.

(Somehow as skirts slimmed our gigantic under-skirt pockets became external bags, and that's not the same thing AT ALL. Purses are less hands-free and it sucks. I made "gun holster" bags that strapped to my legs once for a costume and that was GREAT.)
Because heaven forbid we actually USE pockets. π I *think* the current thinking is "It's not sexy if they ruin the line of clothes with useful objects," and I really resent it.
Drastic changes in bra size are the most annoying (and uncomfortable) part of the process for me. I never seem to end up with the same shape twice and bras are EXPENSIVE.
Progression speed run! So cool

Watercolor sketch of an Asiago Bun on a blue plate
Day 18 of #repostyourart: Everyday Life
When a blizzard disrupted my weekend plans to practice life-drawing at a conservatory, I instead did a still life of the Asiago whole-wheat buns I make for myself every week for breakfast π

Original seascape oil painting by Tisha Mark, "Lighting the Dark" 20"x20" oil on linen (2025). This moody, abstract-leaning seascape painting has a textured, orange-toned, atmospheric sky with textured colors of light on the horizon. Light from the sky reflects in the water below as it meets a dark, rocky, tree-lined coast.
Original seascape oil painting by Tisha Mark, "Finding a Kindred Spirit" 30"x30" oil on cradled Ampersand Gessobord (2025). A seascape painting with a gray-blue sky with textured, atmospheric cloud formations over a dark blue sea. Waves are meeting a rocky shore, and there is textured green moss and dark red algae or seaweed on the rocks.
Original seascape oil painting by Tisha Mark, "Wavering" oil on Ampersand Gessobord, 8"x8" (2026). This loosely painted seascape painting is monochromatic (black & white). It has a textured sky over a dark, wild sea. The sea on the right is meeting a rocky shore on the left. There is much texture throughout the painting.
Original landscape oil painting by Tisha Mark, "Homeland No. 2601" oil on Ampersand Gessobord, 6"x6" (2026). A peaceful atmospheric landscape painting of a lush green gentle slope with a loosely painted tree at the right, underneath a soothing light blue sky with textured breezy white cloud formations.
