Bath Green Park, but despite the Cotswold stone, I only got there after discounting former stations across a wide swathe of southern England. Which tells you that I haven't been there.
The new Interchange and roof garden is a thousand times better than the grimy bus shelters it replaced.
An historic tram being moved though a very large doorway into a large space in a modern building
I successfully specified quite a large loading bay.
Far too sensible a concept to be adopted in Britain.
Nosings. The modern ones are made by AATi. But decades old ones are still performing after many millions of passengers passing over them. www.aati.co.uk/rail/
The Merseybus trademark was owned by Arriva and has recently expired, but is still within the grace period for late renewal. trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/p...
Your post reminded me that I hadn't yet read this. I just swung by the library to borrow it.
A Far Cry from Kensington is a great London novel.
If you were interested in a short, fun, engagement with research and collections across our museum group, what format would you prefer that to take?
- A blog?
- A short video (2-3 mins?)
- A c5mins bitesize podcast?
- Something else?
It would be really useful to hear from you!
Are you sure you're not thinking of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery? Not so many Pre-Raphaelites at the Barber Institute.
The Barber is superb. Purchases had to be 'of that standard of quality as required by the National Gallery and the Wallace Collection'. Also an exceptional Grade I listed art deco building by Robert Atkinson, who designed the lobby of the Daily Express building on Fleet Street. Do go when you can.

Maybe people will adapt and evolve? I find comparisons with previous new technologies (and the fear they evoked) helpful. I also think human-authored/edited text may end up becoming viewed as more valuable.
My brilliant former PhD student Isabel Gilbert (now Lecturer at Worcester) is doing a research project on what good collaboration between academics and heritage sector orgs/professionals looks like - please do fill in if you do this sort of work 😊 app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/ucw/herita...

Paddington has quite an intensive service under the current timetable. An inbound train being even a few minutes late arriving (they often are) impacts the time for cleaning and preparation before announcing boarding for outbound departure.

Many charities are also companies, I'm on the boards of two companies due to my charity trusteeships.
Television Centre.
Yes. Plus my mother and I had different approaches (probably equally valid, but incompatible).
I more or less refused to let them see my work by that stage, so I don't think they'd have dared offer help.
I'm now recruiting for a crucial post in my team - Curator: Parliamentary Art Collection. A rare chance to work with a wonderful collection in a unique setting.

At a younger colleague's wake, there was a slideshow of images of him, which I found a really nice touch that helped us all remember him. We also gave his parents digital photos of him at work.
I'd be led by family and how they would like to use material. They don't have to decide immediately. 2/2
One advantage of digital is there doesn't have to be a single output now. I'd suggest first priority is gathering material - potentially including a callout to friends who may have original files as opposed to compressed versions on social media. 1/2
