I gotta be honest here I don't think complaining that a Doctor Who episode by a trans woman that isn't about Palestine doesn't do enough to advocate for Palestinian liberation is particularly effective activism.

Dr Who The Pilot; the Doctor and Bill sitting either side of a desk in the Doctor's university office.
The Doctor, on an alien planet, smiling whimsically.
Bill Potts, looking confused and curious inside the TARDIS.

8 years since my favourite series opener. 'The Pilot' is, for me, sheer bloomin' magic. Almost everything I love about DW is here. Smart, funny, creepy, imaginative, heartfelt, daft, and wondrous. Beautifully shot, perfectly performed (Capaldi & Mackie are sensational), & endlessly re-watchable.
But what's the macra doing there? The macra do not exist!
Humpback whale population rebounds thanks to Kirk & crew
Yeah that's fair, looking forward to seeing what they do. What I find funny is that these people are acting like this theory is confirmed, but I haven't seen any evidence for it! They just convince themselves of these things.
Honestly I think these people are just delusional. Acting like RTD is the devil based on every little thing he says for no reason, acting like his writing is the worst thing to ever happen to DW. They also seem to be convinced we'll find out the Doctor is in a TV show or some shit - like seriously?
Two of them directed by David Lean too
In 1967, the Emperor Dalek was wearing an anti-Maaga hat.
I think the way Chibnall handled the Master was probably the best way to do it tbh, although not so soon after their last appearance. Dhawan could come anywhere in the timeline, and that's fine. I always thought people assuming he's immediately after missy was a bit dumb, it is a time travel show!
an image of chibi-like illustrations of characters from Doctor Who, specifically from the First Doctor's era. The characters are, in order, The Doctor, Susan, Barbara, Ian, a Dalek, Vicki, Steven, the Monk, Dodo, the Toymaker, Katarina, Sara, a War Machine, Ben, Polly and a Cyberman.

Exactly! It's really not a big deal. I'm optimistic though.
The War Games is probably my all time favourite story, and even though I didn't think the edit for the Daleks was perfect, I can't wait for this because it's a new way for me to enjoy my favourite story, and hopefully will get more people to watch it!
Agreed. It's got everything you need!
Anyone else love The Space Museum? Just watched it for the first time in ages, completely forgot how good it was! Funny, clever and timey-wimey, brilliantly experimental, and stars one of the best TARDIS teams ever. Definitely needs more love.
Top four classic DW seasons:

For me it's the War Games. A mystery that slowly reveals more and more throughout ten episodes, leading up to a devastating culmination of the first six seasons of DW. Great side characters, great pace, genius concept. Almost a whole miniseries in its own right.
Rope and the Batman are such good choices!
