New parking survey submitted to council over Wrexham Kop expansion as residents collect petition Residents near Wrexham's Racecourse Ground are collecting a petition over matchday parking as transport consultants have submitted new survey data in support of the club's bid to expand the Kop Stand to 7,750 spectators - data that says some streets close to the stadium were already at full capacity before kick-off even started at recent games. The petition follows a sustained campaign by residents in streets surrounding the ground, where parking on matchdays has become a bigger problem since regular average attendances have increased since the takeover.

The original 2023 planning permission for the Kop Stand, which consented the 5,500-seat version, included conditions requiring the club to update its travel plan within six months of the stand opening. Buro Happold's report says the club intends to merge its Matchday Access Strategy into that…
