Israel accused of ‘forcibly intercepting’ Gaza aid boat as activists detained – live Israeli foreign ministry confirms ship carrying activists including Greta Thunberg is under its troops’ control and heading towards Israel

In a statement just released, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) has accused Israel of “forcibly intercepting” the Madleen and acting with “total impunity”.

“Israel has no legal authority to detain international volunteers aboard the Madleen,” said Huwaida Arraf, a Freedom Flotilla organiser.

LFC fans is it still worth going to Anfield for the final game vs Crystal Palace to celebrate the cup lift, even if you don’t have a ticket and can only be outside the stadium?

North London forever… but trophies? Rare as ever.

Wish him all the best-no bitterness. But legends aren’t made by stats alone. They’re defined by loving the club more than the spotlight. Trent’s story: phenomenal talent, unfinished legacy. #YNWA #RealMadrid

Legends endure. Gerrard stayed through the 2005 chaos. Salah fights for his place. Trent’s legacy? He revolutionised the RB role but walked at his peak. Madrid gains a star; LFC loses a potential icon. #MixedFeelings

Local heroes carry heavier expectations. Owen/McManaman left, but they weren’t born into the city’s soul. Trent was the Scouse dream-now a “what if?” Great player? Absolutely. Legend? That’s for lifers. #LocalLad

Van Dijk: “This is my home.” Salah: turned down Saudi millions. Legends choose Liverpool. Trent chose Madrid. Respect his ambition, but Scousers don’t get the “outsider’s pass.” Loyalty > trophies. #DefiningLegends

I understand Trent’s move to Madrid-careers are short. But legends aren’t just great players. They’re loyalists who bleed for the badge. 352 apps, 92 assists… iconic. But leaving as a Scouser? Legends stay. #LFC #YNWA

🚨 BREAKING News: Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.

This wasn’t just any game. With the title won, Slot used the Chelsea match to test depth. For Endo, Elliott, Quansah & Tsimikas, it was an audition. Some stepped up—some didn’t. The result said it all.

This is just a factual response to the game using stats-I’m not here to debate rotations or gameplay. I report every match the same way, purely on the numbers. If you took a second to actually read the post (or check my previous ones), you’d see the only negativity here is coming from you! 😉

This game exposed a real tactical fragility.
• Over-reliance on control without threat
• Vulnerable defensive transitions
• Lack of individual brilliance to unlock packed defences

Chelsea didn’t just beat us—they tactically outplayed us.

Chelsea 1.23
Liverpool 1.71
Yet Chelsea created better final-third moments, and it showed in the shot locations and shot quality.

Build-up structure:
Our pass network was heavy in the middle third.
Chelsea’s build-up? More vertical and far more effective. xT (Expected Threat) momentum:
Liverpool had more of the ball—but Chelsea had more dangerous moments.

Liverpool’s defensive height was 46.76m—Chelsea’s 43.8m.
But look at PPDA:
Chelsea 11.74
Liverpool 6.96

We tried to press high—but Chelsea bypassed it. Quicker in transitions, smarter in movement. Our press wasn’t coordinated enough to disrupt them.

Field tilt:
Chelsea 33.68%
Liverpool 66.32%

This makes it look like Liverpool dominated. But it’s misleading. Chelsea let us have it in deeper zones and struck directly.

This wasn’t a smash-and-grab—it was calculated, targeted control.

Standouts: Palmer & FernĂĄndez
Palmer racked up 0.79 xG, constantly finding space between our lines. FernĂĄndez opened the scoring and set the tone.

Liverpool’s only real xG spike came late on via van Dijk’s header (0.1 xG). Toothless before and after.

Shots:
Chelsea 17 (7 on target)
Liverpool 11 (2 on target)

xG open play:
Chelsea 2.08
Liverpool 0.71

Chelsea carved through us with efficiency. They got into the box and generated big chances. We passed around it and barely looked threatening.

11 months ago 1 0 1 0

Possession:
Chelsea 35%
Liverpool 65%

Touches in opposition box:
Chelsea 33
Liverpool 35

Despite dominating the ball, Liverpool couldn’t convert territory into threat. The pass map is neat—but sterile. Too often we lacked penetration.

Full-time: Chelsea 3 - 1 Liverpool
xG: 2.93 - 1.17
A brutal result but also a brutal reality check. Chelsea were sharper, more clinical, and more aggressive in high-value areas. We had the ball, they had the threat. #LFC #CHELIV #EPL read the thread👇
