Little Owen Jones was a big fan, if I recall...(No he wasn't - Ed)

They're all desperate for the smoking gun and there isn't one. Starmer isn't very good at being PM and the Civil service is the civil service...any ex-civil servants (me) recognise that

I'm over 55 and have not been made redundant in the last 2 years. If that helps? Or ever in fact.

Were people who saw it, immediately blinded and thrown into a pit full of ravenous wolves?

They gave Madelson the ambassador role *because* he was a wrong'un. We all knew it then and all know it now.

Vetting which would have shown in which ways he was a wrong'un was never a priority.

Had it been, PM might have tumbled to fact Mandelson was *too much* of a wrong'un.

Last week Bath Abbey Girls Choir paid a visit to parliament.

They had a great time touring the building & discovering how parliament works, asking many thoughtful questions along the way.

It's so inspiring to see such enthusiasm from young people eager to learn more about politics!

As I told the Tel, Ed is “the right man in the right place at the right time”. He’s got strong beliefs and he turns them into action.

No idea, whoever stands, I presume there'll only be 3 candidates 80.MPs is a lot. If there are only 3 candidates, only 1 will be a woman, so I'm going to vote for whoever that is, even if it's Rayner, who is a poor choice, but I think we might be done whoever we pick so let's go female.

I think we're almost reaching the point of no return, no-one wants to do anything before May 7th, but May 7th is getting gradually worse because no-one is doing anything, so that makes recovery after May 7th very, very difficult. Reeves will go. Whatever happens we've got to elect a woman this time.

Not wholly disagreeing, but May nearly lost to 'checks notes' Jeremy Corbyn

Isn't it Ironic that the fascists are at the gate and Starmer is our last line of defence?

OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.

Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

It all comes back to 'you really do need to have a prime minister to run this thing'.

Starter for 10, who will be our next 'good' or even 'half decent' PM and have they been born yet?

I was just thinking this, he should bring David back as his Foreign Secretary just because, that would be very amusing

God Lammy looks like he's given up, and Reeves looks utterly miserable.

Keir starmers entire argument is that he is essentially a moron that was not trusted with essential briefing about an important diplomatic position which I'll accept. I also don't think this person should be prime minister

This is actually a big deal, in that Davey and Starmer had a publicly cordial relationship until very recently.

It suggests Davey thinks Starmer is done, and Starmer himself seemed shaken after Davey asked him to resign. I don't think he saw that coming.

The main problem with it is it gains Reform votes because it reinforces 'they're all the same' narrative. The cabinet must ask now or Labour's brand will be destroyed

He's not as good at lying as Johnson was, if there are still men in grey suits they need to have a word (and quickly)

Everyone must ask themselves, if this was a Tory PM or Farage would we be convinced.....(no -Ed)

Suspect the Prime Minister's express attacking of foreign office officials is not sensible.

Believe me when I say this is absolutely not a defence of Starmer; but we're going to hear a lot about dishonesty in public life from a collection of leaders who hacked another MPs website, rose to prominence by being a race-baiting liar, and boob hypnotherapist.
